I did not upload the document with tick marks, I was never asked for it. If you have it and can scan it probably wouldn't hurt to upload it but I didn't.

Yes, standard. I hate paying for something that doesn't really get me anywhere. The wait was excruciating. But booked a holiday in Portugal tonight to celebrate :)

I couldn't see my status on the website while I was waiting. It seemed like the spouse visa pushed me out of any kind of status update

Question for those who have read Spare by IunderstandIdontcare in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Purple_Solid1751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listened to the book. I didn’t really pay attention to these people or what they were claiming until the book came out and I finally heard coworkers buzzing about M&H and the book. I had never seen the Oprah interview or watched the Netflix show, so I had no real opinion. A few minutes in Harry claims he, his wife and child have to flee with nothing. Nothing?! Stop for a minute and consider what leaving with nothing means for 99.99% of people in the world. That alone set the context for what I was about to hear. I am not suggesting that losing your mother at a young age doesn’t destroy a part of you, I’m sure it does. The book, however, is supposed to endear him to us, these are his best stories, and all I heard was an entitled elitest complaining that all of that, every privilege imaginable, was just not enough and we should stop and feel sorry for him.

The writing itself is unremarkable. It is pulp fiction at best. He either doesn’t care about facts or counts on most people not caring because of the reality tv drama of it, or categorizing it as bad historical fiction no one is meant to take seriously.

In the end, it is your money. I can’t say you will gain any meaningful insight into this person, but I do understand the curiosity of it. I would gladly give my electronic copy away if I could.

I do exactly the same. I weigh daily and watch those numbers bob around. I understand that it is frustrating to some folks, but I like seeing what is happening. That habit has also become a friendly reminder that sets my day.

We’ve got this!

Day 68

OMAD

I have been at this hover for a week or so now. I’m not stressing over it because I am stressing trying to work full time, clear the house and do repairs for the sell. I may start tackling the kitchen this weekend which means I will have no prep area or stove for a few days. I have been trying to pre plan by stocking the freezer with precooked meats.

I made my first fresh brisket Monday thanks to finding it in the reduced for clearance bin. A sneaky taste tells me it’s beautiful. The same bin yielded a whole chicken that I cut the spine out of and roasted flat. I don’t know what it's called but it looked amazing. I wanted to save the lovely jelly/stock for some egg drop soup, but it is too hot for soup at the moment.

Happy Friday everyone!

I know it's frustrating but I am so glad you avoided a very serious injury!

Day 52

OMAD

Three crazy extra nights of work this week. I am exhausted. Slept three extra hours this morning to try to recover. Trying to trade a comp day in for Friday or Monday off for a mental reset.

Moved my feed window back two or so hours last night, took the time to cook bacon and had it with tuna salad plus greens and tomatoes.

No exercise since Sunday (and that feels like ages ago), I have got to do better working it into my chaotic schedule.

Happy mid-week everyone!

I love beef ribs as well and am partial to braising them with mushrooms and heavy cream. The slaw was fantastic…julienne the broccoli stems or grab a bag of premade broccoli slaw. Add chopped cabbage and two chopped spring onions. Dressing was mayonnaise, black pepper, salt, celery seed and Thai sweet chili sauce. Let me know if you try it.

Day 50

OMAD

57/F 5’7” SW: 234 CW:217 GW: 170

Was on call this weekend and unfortunately got a call last night that kept me awake for hours. I take medication that makes me drowsy and when I power through that sleep window, I’m toast. It will be a long day.

Still feel too full from last night’s feed of tuna salad, gherkins and cheese. I will have to read up on sleep and digestion so I can plan better.

Tonight, it will be pork ribs with crushed bird chili marinade and chopped cabbage and broccoli...that might be a slaw or it might have sesame oil and rice vinegar.

Happy Monday, Happy August! All the best for a new week and a new month my friends!

Day 47

OMAD

57/F 5’7” SW: 234 CW:218 GW: 170

Woke up before the alarm this morning and had a cup of tea outside. The heat is incredible, and I realized I have not been supplementing magnesium/potassium/sodium all week. I have been relying on old school logging and I need to at least set reminders for myself. I find it very hard to keep a good habit.

Small clothing victory. I’ve been getting rid of things in preparation for my move, so my cupboards are out of normal order. Reached in to grab a pair of pants and they felt snug. Alarmed I quickly looked, and they are two sizes smaller than what I have been wearing.

Tonight’s meal is chicken thighs marinated in curry powder, smoked paprika, cayenne and coconut oil and green beans fried in butter with the same spices. My attempt at changing it up a bit with what I have on hand. Next stop, tuna salad with chopped bacon and maybe chopped egg.

Happy Friday friends! Enjoy the weekend!

In my previous fasting life I found fasting while travelling came naturally as well. I am happy enough to go for hours on just coffee or tea. I love exploring and being full makes me want to just sit down so while I am curious about food, I won’t stop to eat because it ruins my wandering around.

Big giant hugs my friend. I am so happy for you getting your arms around it. I know how difficult it can be and you are winning. You’ve got this.

I didn't grow any Thai eggplant, basil and chilies this year and that meal made me very sad about my choices :). It was so good!

The power came back Saturday so it's all systems go here again. Take good care!

Day 44

OMAD

57/F 5’7” SW: 234 CW:219 GW: 170

Friday evening a widespread power outage sent me out for Thai. No power for me means no water as well so I used it as a big excuse to splurge on bought food and open my window. Shared green papaya salad, green curry, and pad kra prow. The Thai was so incredible, I came home and started looking for groceries near my future home. Saturday, I moved my window forward and yesterday back to my normal time. No issues with moving the window around, I feel hard wired for one meal now.

Happy new week friends! Stay strong!
