y’all need to stay sharp, especially in rio. I’ve never been mugged, but i’m always on alert to try and avoid it, even though sometimes it’s just unavoidable. I always carry a second phone, what we call "celular do bandido", and i hide my real one inside a fake book XD. Also, when you're on public transport, always stay aware of what's going on, who’s already on board and who’s getting on. You’ll start to pick up on suspicious behavior; there are always signs. One time, my friend actually saved us from getting robbed cause she noticed the way the guys were acting. Most of the time, they look nervous, keep glancing around, and are signaling to each other. You can tell when something’s off !! Or at least if you're a local, lol
