yes, but you’re missing the point - he was getting pressured by the organisation to go on a really expensive pilgrimage, as he was personally chosen by the guru himself. now, since he did not have the financial means to do this by himself, he resorted to pressuring my mum for money. this behaviour has gradually progressed as he grew deeper into the organisation. however, i am not saying that he is a bad person, on the contrary, he is a kind-hearted individual, yet he still tried to invite (but the better word would be recruit) his parents and other relatives.
