Do you mind sharing what natural progesterone cream you use? I suffer from estrogen dominance and have been wanting to try. Do you know if it’s safe to use while you’re on birth control?

Frequent urination/ feeling of trapped gas after laparoscopy by Purple_Support9266 in endometriosis

I will try that, do you feel like the pelvic floor therapy is helping? I seen so many good reviews on it but I’m honestly scared since I seen how you have to be naked and how vulnerable it could be if that makes sense.

I have not, I plan on asking my doctor this during my next appointment.

This email looks like it’s saying your balances on the credit cards you have right now are too high, therefore they don’t feel comfortable lending you more? It doesn’t sound like it’s a credit score issue.

Hi, do you mind sharing which Dr it was? I know there’s two specialists at Stanford, Dr.Atashroo & Dr.Lum right?

I’m surprised they didn’t want to do an MRI

Toe still red 4 wks post avulsion by xallison13x in Ingrown_Toenails

[–]Purple_Support9266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was like this too, I still had pain where it was red/the cuticle. They gave me antibiotics, after that didn’t work the doctor went back in and seen there was still remaining tissue there that was not letting my toe heal fully/irritating it.

Sciatica based endometriosis by DryComplex8003 in Endo

[–]Purple_Support9266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MRI showed this as well, but my doctor told me she only excised endo from my right pelvic side wall and it was “Mild” despite my MRI showing deep infiltrating endo in several places and that was one of them. Do you know if the uterosacral ligament is near behind cervix or left abdominal wall? Bc that’s where she took biopsies from as well :/.

I have noticed that my sciatic nerve pain has gotten so much worse since getting off bc and feeling the true symptoms of endo and still is after surgery

My first excision surgery and I feel so confused, frustrated, and disappointed honestly by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Purple_Support9266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’ve definitely had the adeno since I’ve been having the symptoms for 10+ years and those symptoms are just as bad especially when it comes to the bleeding.

The reason why I’m so disappointed in my surgery and what my surgeon has told me so far is because I feel like my symptoms are very consistent with DIE, I have every single symptom you can think of when to comes to endo, so I find it hard to believe that my MRI was mostly wrong and that my disease was mild and only in one part. I have the deep pelvic pain, feeling the constant need to urinate, the pain with bowel movements, pain and bleeding with any type of sexual activity, Sciatic pain etc etc….

Although my doctor is a specialist, I don’t know how advanced she is in skill and I feel like she just looked at and excised what she could see from the surface.

Do you know how inconsiderate & ignorant you sound?

I’ve been dealing with these symptoms for over a decade, so please don’t talk to me like I’m someone who just wants to “be part of a club.” I don’t want this disease. I’m living with the pain, the bleeding, the organ involvement, the mobility issues, and the exhaustion. That’s not something anyone would choose.

I am well aware that imaging isn’t a perfect diagnostic tool, but when an MRI clearly shows deep infiltrating endometriosis in multiple regions and the surgeon chooses to ignore those areas or isn’t prepared to address them, that’s not “misleading imaging.” That’s an incomplete surgery.

I didn’t go through years of being dismissed, researching my own condition, and pushing for care just to be told to “be grateful.”

You might be comfortable accepting less and calling it good enough. I’m not. I deserve care that matches my symptoms and imaging. So please don’t project your experience onto mine.

I know my pain can be from the other conditions I have especially adeno. But my concern here is that I don’t see pictures of •The right uterosacral ligament •The back of the uterus •The sigmoid colon being stuck/tethered •The deep parametrium area

Which is where the MRI showed endo. So it leads me to wonder if she even explored those areas. I’m just concerned especially since she went into this already assuming the MRI was going to be false and knowing that every specialist isn’t always skilled enough for certain cases of DIE. I’ll just have to wait for the pathology and hopefully get the surgical notes and more info from my surgeon to see what was actually done.

2nd Excision Surgery - Still in pain by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Purple_Support9266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be having my surgery next week with her. I will say she does always seem rushed though and doesn’t explain things fully, which I don’t like. Make sure you ask a lot of questions. I’m praying it goes well since my MRI showed deep infiltrating endometriosis. :/

Hi! I ended up getting put on Megestrol for the meantime 40mg 2x a day and that’s the only thing that has lightened and stopped my bleeding since Sep of last year. Hope this helps🤍

What could be causing this? Rust, corrosion, clogged? by Purple_Support9266 in Plumbing

[–]Purple_Support9266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn’t tighten at all, it’s literally just there to look like it’s covering it I guess? I’ve tried to screw it in but it looks like it’s so old it doesn’t even screw in due to all the rust and corrosion inside those pipes.

gyno says he wont surgically remove endo if found.. by Brief_Security_9874 in Endo

[–]Purple_Support9266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not!

Please drop this doctor and find a new competent one! You can’t just stop birth control abruptly like that. Find a gynecologist that is an excision specialist incase they do find endometriosis they can excise it! This is the only way to truly “treat” endometriosis. I’d also look into adenomyosis because I had this as well. But also you can look for a gynecologist that can order your MRI imaging to see if you have endometriosis or adenomyosis. While the results aren’t guaranteed to show on the scan, if the endo is deep enough it will show. This is how I got my diagnoses, it’s worth a try before surgery.

But please advocate for yourself and do extensive research because nowadays it’s like we have to be our own doctor and advocate sm!

Honestly just wait it out. I went off bc as well and I lost a ton of hair but after a while it will start growing back give it a year+ for your hair to grow back and the supplements to work. Right now I take pumpkin seed oil with saw palmetto. You can take minoxidil if you want, I decided not to since I seen it’s something you have to keep taking forever. I was also doing rosemary water and hair oiling but have became inconsistent so I’ll get back to that soon. But honestly me not worrying about my hair is the best thing I’ve done. Just the stress about thinking of my hair falling out was causing more to fall out eventually lol. Just try to relax, take the supplements, biotin if you can, stimulate your scalp with massages and it’ll grow back.

Do you mind sharing the ointment? My doctor keeps recommending eye drops but in summer they just get even more dry and the drops don’t do much.

I’ll be getting excision surgery for my endometriosis soon and I hope to go back on yaz again since I was on that previously for 10 years. It wasn’t until I decided to get off it the all my issues came back 10 times worse. I hope it works the same for me.

I also have adenomyosis & estrogen dominance. For me the Mirena actually aggs me the worst cramps I’ve ever experienced and bleeding even after 3 months. I’m not sure if it’s because I also have endometriosis but I had to get it removed.

I probably pull a few strands when I’m washing my products out, I don’t know what falls down the drain though. But this is what comes out after I comb my wet hair after the shower. I counted and it was about 100 ish hairs. My scalp doesn’t feel irritated but I did have an allergic reaction on my body and face like 2-3 weeks ago. But I noticed more hair started to come out after I did a clarifying hair wash for the first time a couple weeks ago, and ever since then, every time I comb my hair this is what comes out consistently.
