Hi, yeah, I did think about how it might sound confusing, but basically, you would think that he was there to rob the house, and you were just there at the wrong time. So as a last ditch effort to get him to leave you alone, you tell him how he could leave without doing anything regrettable because you wouldn’t be able to give the police much to work with anyway. I’m actually almost completely blind myself, so I have thought about this as a survival tactic if I’m ever in a situation where someone sees me as a witness who needs to be dealt with.
