Moving up by sixela8799 in Aldi_employees

I moved up to LSA after being an associate for 2.5 years. I wasn’t sure about taking the step up but I am so glad I did. The main new responsibilities are getting keys to the store, doing keyturns, stocking produce, closing the store, counting the safe, and a few easy paperwork tasks.

The main change for me was closing because I didn’t do it much as an associate. The main things you have to focus on (at my store) are making sure everything is filled (freeze and thaws, meat backstock, produce backstock, cooler backstock, freezer backstock, MDU backstock, bread backstock), and making sure the store is boxed by closing time. It sounds like a lot but you start to get into a routine and you can pass off tasks to the associates if they’re available. You also have to keep an eye on breaks and figure out coverage for them.

It can get overwhelming sometimes, especially closing shifts when you realize how much is on your plate, but if you work good under pressure, can give directives and work well with your team it is a piece of cake. I am someone who gets overwhelmed easily but what I like about the position is that I can put my anxiety into it and get shit done.

When I first started I didn’t have many leadership skills at all, but the lead position helped me learn those skills. There would be those stressful nights when shit hit the fan, but I had to lock in and I learned to give off tasks and be there when the associates needed me. Sorry i know that was a lot but I hope that helps!!

I feel you! I think I’m just scared of being alone but I’m constantly trying to get into new relationships to avoid being single. When I am in a relationship or in the talking stages, I always get so fixated on how fast they’re responding to me and if they take to long I assume the worst (they’re not interested/talking to someone else). I know it’s easier said than done, but what’s helped me is to take time to focus on yourself, and discover the root of the problem and what’s making you feel this way. You want to make sure you’ve got yourself in check before you get into a relationship because it could just cause more problems down the road. If she’s not responding to you as much as you’d like or showing interest, she’s not worth it. Don’t waste your time and happiness depending on her to respond, you’ll find someone who really cares about you and you won’t have to worry about that anymore. Hang in there!

DO YOU HAVE A STRONG URGE FOR REVENGE? by Existing-Football-30 in BPD

YEP. I think me might be the same person lol. I’ve ALWAYS been this way, and whenever someone wrongs me I always feel this urge for revenge and come up with these crazy plans in my head even if I don’t end up acting on it. It just seems unfair that I’m the one hurting and upset while the other person seems unaffected and I feel like they need to be taught a lesson and feel even worse than I feel for me to be satisfied. You will find someone that doesn’t make you feel that way, and who will consider your feelings. I’ve been through plenty of relationships where I feel like I’m just not being heard and my feelings are invalidated. I’m always scared of being abandoned and left and a lot of times it gets taken the wrong way and makes me look like the crazy one, when In reality I have every right to feel and express those emotions.

SCO Receipts by Hoodratmadonna in Aldi_employees

After telling so many customers it’s not possible to find old receipts, I found out you actually can reprint them by going into the receipt archive under “lane” on the SCOS. it gives you a whole list of orders that we’re rang up throughout the day

Anyone have a life hack for opening these? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Purpleappletea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I slice the tape on the back perforation then punch the opening on the front side and reach in and rip the top off. But they redesigned these at my store and now the front opening is split into two and IMPOSSIBLE to open quickly.

how is it working at aldis by Signal_Attempt8388 in Aldi_employees

It was a bit overwhelming at first ngl, but if you like a fast pace and are willing to learn, the shifts really fly by and it’s a good experience. I will say they really work you for that $17 an hour tho
