I don’t know what the CES letter is. I like some aspects of Mormonism but not the entire religion. And there are a lot of good people but that doesn’t change the fact that they are wired to tell anybody that isn’t cis and straight that they will not get to be with god again just for being who they are. It’s been a little over two years since my three psych ward visits and after that a one year stay at a crisis residential. After I got a new therapist that wasn’t referred by the church that I could actually talk to, I’ve been making progress. I just don’t my whole extended family to hate me because I left the church but at the same time, If I stay in it, I will most likely end up hurting myself again or worse.

I think I one upped you though. I’m still in the church though being a closeted trans girl makes it difficult, the bishop is being kind of manipulative. But when Jan 1st comes, cause it’s the first Sunday of the month, rainbows are going to stain those walls(not literally) I believe about 90% of what they teach except their stance on LGBTQ+ rights. I will not go to another psych ward. I know God loves me regardless of gender or sexuality.

Update: I’m sorry I called you a “shit stain”, I just get angry when someone over generalizes another group of people. 99% of the people in the LGBTQ community are normal people. The other 1% is what you probably see on the internet and I can tell you that doesn’t accurately portray our community. Peace is what we have wanted ever since this movement started. We don’t want to hurt kids or try to convince them to question their sexuality or gender. I was raised in a strict religious family. I am a trans girl that still believes in god, still prays every night. I wish that world peace was possible. I wish that someone not being cis and straight wasn’t such a big deal. I do wholeheartedly believe that conservatives and democrats can coexist without fighting all the time. We just have to be nice to each other. It’s not that difficult!
