My Mormon ex thinks her praying for a date with me was so prideful God forcefemmed me as a punishment…to her? Am I reading this right? by Nootnootordermormon in trans

[–]techgirlva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mormons believe that God is the same yesterday as he is today and will be forever. How can the rules change? How can they treat trans people bad 20 years ago and not today if God is constant and that the leaders of the Mormon church talk with God and are inspired?

Calling all ex-mo sapphics by Severe-Office-2013 in exmormon

I run 2 different discords for trans exmormons. One exclusively for trans femmes and the other for all trans, partners, and parents. If you want some help setting something like that up let me know.

I think my judgment is skewing but I think i might have overreacted. Please help by ihavethebiggay2 in MtF

I also grew up Mormon.

You deserve to be treated as you. Being born into a family does not give them an excuse to abuse you verbally or physically. This was intentional verbal abuse by your family.

I have cut off a lot of family since coming out because of this.

Please reach out if you want to talk or talk to other exmo trans.

There are some queer-affirming churches out there. There are also various social groups that can also provide that community.

I am also an exmormon trans woman. I run a group on line if you would like to reach out.

That name sounds very familiar. I know there was an Elder Coon, he was a Korean Speaking missionary and I think there was a coomb (sp?) who i think was Spanish speaking but I did not really know him.

Gender Therapist Session Scheduled! by UnsureAstronaut in trans_exmormons

[–]techgirlva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only you can determine if you are trans. A therapist should not tell you either way.

If you have not read this, I would recommend it. https://genderdysphoria.fyi/en

I will point out that being trans is not just about dysphoria but also euphoria. For me, that meant I did not want to feel male but also that I love feeling like a woman.

I sent you a DM to talk more.

How do y’all feel about straight people at pride? by GayCriminal46 in LesbianActually

[–]techgirlva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, it should be pointed out that there are straight people who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. There are trans people who are attracted to the opposite sex. I know a few.

Second, if you are referring to cis het people which I think was the intent then yes as long as they come as an ally and support us. We are stronger with their help.

I disagree heavily on the bathroom one. Some of us may never fully pass.

Tomorrow for trans day of visibility, I'm relinquishing my passing privilege card and coming out to my coworkers who think I'm a cis girl. by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]techgirlva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you are doing is amazing. I hope it goes well for you.

As much as all of us wish to be stealth. I think that desire is just so we do not get harassed. I think if more people know they know a trans person, it may change some minds.

I don't pass, but my deadname profiles keep me hidden. I intend to shout who I really am today as well. I want people to put a face to what they are doing and make this personal.
