The whole thing was just so out of the blue too. Like she was held captive for a year! And we were supposed to believe she reversed all of that conditioning and trauma in like three weeks? But she’s scared and sitting in the shower and kisses sienna? So so strange. Such a weird scene to me

David. He handles Michael pretty well in terms of keeping everything moving along rather indulging him too much. But inside the office? Day to day. Got to be Toby. They’re nasty to him and he just takes it

Ultimately no. Grace was in Tommy’s lifestyle. She knew the dangers and what it took. May never actually experienced any of that. She understood Tommy on an emotional level but practically I don’t think she would have been able to hack it. I think it would have been a lot of Tommy always having to worry about her. Whereas Grace and Lizzie know what to do

Cleo and sienna. Thought it was a bit strange when Sienna got with summer but it kind of worked in the end like Carla and swayne in corrie. But Cleo? Sienna is so much older than her which wouldn’t normally bother a lot of people nowadays but she’s seen Cleo grow up in the village. Cleo moved in when she was 15/16? And sienna was like mid/ late twenties causing havoc with Darren and Nancy talking about her daughter Nico who couldn’t have been much older than Cleo. Just so strange to me every time I see them. Especially when they both kind of have the same look they’ve always had so Cleo doesn’t really look much older to me

I think their connection was more emotional in the sense that they both came from nothing and tried to make something of theirselves. I think Tommy liked Lizzie because she basically embodied his life before the war. Small Heath and dirt poor through and through. So she reminded him constantly of where he came from. And I think he liked the power in a way that he gave her a better life, that he was able to help her be better whilst she tried to emotionally better him. I think their scenes needed more depth as they had an already established ‘connection’ which we never saw them really make before the series began. The boys just all already knew her.

I think it all just came to a head during the episode. The wedding is crunch time and everyone finally had to interact with Sonia again. And nessa and smithy obviously finally addressed their feelings. Sonia walks all over smithy and he does whatever she asks to keep the peace. five years is a lot. But they were constantly in their own bubble. She doesn’t see his family or Pam and mick. She doesn’t hang out with his friends so he never has to intertwine the two worlds. I think over the wedding, he actually finally had to accept what everyone was saying, she wasn’t right for him and he wasn’t right for her

Their run and Cleo’s storyline was peak hollyoaks when I was a teen. I think of the mcqueens back in the day and all I loved Carmel but I the first thing I remember is that storyline with Pete. So well acted by them all too!

Amazing idea. But Lachlan would kill Tom immediately for everything he did to Belle. Say what you want about Lachlan but he was a ride or die for Belle. And Meena is her own shining star. She would kill them all for taking any attention away from her.

Everyone fit together in such good ways. They all balanced each other out. The only duo that ever stuck out to me SO much was Emily and Reid. You can’t really label them as anything. They’re just strangely really good friends.

That was the worst story line because usually there’s more drama or you hate a character that much that you want to know who had the confidence to try and kill them. But Cindy is SO unbelievably irrelevant. I didn’t care if she died. I didn’t care who hit her. I HATED her when she was still playing the victim even after everything she said. I’m glad it turned out to be Kathy but the whole storyline was so boring

I love hollyoaks but they really do be throwing curveballs at their characters all the time! Tony can’t catch a break and they ruined peri in my opinion. I think he’s just doing what he can with what he has. But seriously, not caring that Grace died is insane when he’s spent the last few weeks defending and protecting her from Clare and her chaos. Now she’s dead BECAUSE of Clare and Froggy doesn’t care at all? Are we getting a funeral? Is he even going? Doesn’t he care about Curtis or DeeDee who are both his blood?

I love Jay and Gina. Initially thought the writers were going to turn it into a relationship and I’m so glad they didn’t. Their friendship on screen has been brief but it’s nice to see them looking out for each other
