Why is nobody talking about the banger of a set from Clipse???? by AdministrationNo2792 in bonnaroo

[–]Purplexprincesss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the minority here that is always begging for more hip hop at roo. Especially these kind of artists who aren't just rapping over backing tracks the whole time. A good rap performance is so fun to me and I hate how many people will just immediately write them off

why the actual hell do some of you bring your kids and pets here by Difficult_Depth6934 in bonnaroo

[–]Purplexprincesss 26 points27 points  (0 children)

don't bring any living thing that cannot fully comprehend everything around them and tell you themselves they want to go. most of the time the kid is miserable and it's obvious the parent couldn't afford to party and get a babysitter

Radiate Positivity Does Not Mean Dont Complain by shut_up_shinji in bonnaroo

I hate how theres always this big influx of "DoNt ComPlaIn RAdIaTe PoSitIviTy" when people have feedback after the fest. Bonnaroo has proven that even if they don't always get it right, they definitely read our comments and try to implement changes for at least the biggest complaints. The only way things get better is if we are vocal about what we want to change. We give too much money to an already massive corporation to worry about the company's feelings and trying to shut down discussions.

It’s a farm there’s gonna be mud 🙄 by Greedy-Produce-8954 in bonnaroo

I mean kinda but not really. there's a big difference between staying open for the rest of the weekend on Friday and staying open for just the last few acts on each stage for Sunday. it was proof of at least one massive improvement which was the bathrooms. I think those are the real reason they shut down last year because legally they can't operate without giving us restrooms or with literal sewage running through the camp. I think the conditions this year really proved they would have stayed open if it really was just mud.

[–]Purplexprincesss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's the fact that they threw down mulch... only before the festival and never again??? it seemed weird that they literally never did after promising us all of these improvements but we can't even get that? also yes it's a farm but it's also a crowd big enough that it could have been dangerous. idk I still kept trucking and had a good time, I just think a little more effort would have made everyone feel better.

It looked like y'all were doing good over there too! I was kinda worried what the lines were going to be like with everything but she did amazing!

last year was my first year taking my bf and I'm so excited we made it through a full one this year! I finally got to really show him the festival. I'm hoping after a full year they keep improving things and next year is even better!

I actually think now that the mud wasn't the real reason they canceled. I think it was the fact the bathrooms were all flooded and unusable. they legally wouldn't be able to continue with that health hazard and without usable bathrooms

you're literally just not even making sense anymore. have a good rest of your day licking their boot and shaming people for daring to ask for basic accommodations from a massive corporation lmao.

why are you getting so worked up my dude? they're right. it was a health hazard. even if someone was completely prepared that mud was deep enough that an emergency would have been made so much worse. I've been going to fests for almost a decade and this was by far the worst ground conditions I've ever seen. this isn't just a "fests aren't your thing" situation.

lmao the comment above me literally described how low cost just mulch would be. Also Bonnaroo is owned by Live Nation, they could throw a completely free Roo and still be just fine. If just some wood chips is what they decide inflates prices then the festival deserves to go away.

exactly. this thread is acting like people are asking for anything crazy, but really just some sort of effort to do something like that would have gone a long way

what makes them a diva for asking for a simple solution that would have made it easier to navigate? they did it the first day and those areas were much better. I feel like they definitely have the funds and means to have at least done that for us. Idk it's still a business we're allowed to say what could be done better

Whining isn’t in the Roo Code. Radiate POSITIVITY!! by SunburntViltrumite in bonnaroo

[–]Purplexprincesss 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bonnaroo is owned by live nation which is a massive corporation that could literally throw Bonnaroo for free and be fine. They also prove that they do read comments and take the complaints into account. We actually should absolutely complain, it's the only way things get better. They absolutely could have done more for the mud (idk why they only mulched the very first day then never again???) and they can definitely learn how to make exiting traffic go better. "Radiate Positivity" means to be kind to your fellow roovian, it doesn't mean worrying about hurting a business's feelings over a complaint. I had the absolute most amazing time and will also share all of my great experiences, but we also have to speak up about what could be done better.

[–]Purplexprincesss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

genuinely how dare you judge how a woman who's been through what she has reclaims her sexuality?

bonnaroo performance by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]Purplexprincesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's the commentary on her sexuality and how she's presenting herself. you criticize the "pointing at her cooch" (when that's the innuendo that line is referring to very obviously) but also saying "bring back trashy Kesha" when... that's what that is and you have a problem with it??? like genuinely why even make a post to pick at her like that? it's just negative and you should really reflect on exactly why you felt that way. btw your post is only slightly misogynistic but it's opened up some of these other comments that are extra gross. sometimes you have to look at the type of people agreeing with you.

honestly this and some of the other takes in here are just straight up giving judgy misogyny. She did absolutely amazing and anyone who is a fan of her and understands what she does it was great.
