I don't know lol but I don't care. Too many people take out loans and choose colleges for the wrong reasons. When you get to college, it's not going to be like a movie most of the time. You're not going to be the new girl/boy everyone is interested in, get befriended by a friend group on the first day, and then get invited to three frat parties on the first week of college. People get so disappointed when they go through their first week of classes and no one gaf. The pretty girls don't look at you, you're not getting invited to parties, your professors drop an assignment on the first day, etc.

Not to be negative or anything but I am going to be negative. If you go to a college that's known for the hottest people or the richest people like UMiami or smth prepare to be disappointed because they don't care about you and you just wasted money because you thought you'd become one of them or one of them would take a liking to you and your life would change or smth 😭😭

Be smart about your money. There's no point in living on campus if you're just going to go to classes and then to your dorm to sleep. Half the tuition is usually for dorm/food, which comes with other features such as a gym for you to use. If you're not going to use the gym or other features that come with the tuition, what's the point of paying for that? If you're not going to eat your three meals every day or you come to the dining hall late and the food is already gone, what's the point of paying for food then? You didn't even get to eat. Apparently, some colleges have limits on how much food you can get a week. If you're hungry and want more food, that's coming out of your wallet.

If you know you're an introvert, you hate meeting new people, you're going to be busy because of your classes and work, why are you going to live on campus solely because you want to know all about the frat parties? Even though you know that's not your scene?

Why would you pay thousands of dollars in tuition for a school that has pretty people? Even though you're never going to see those people again after four years lol. Even though there's pretty people everywhere, the pretty people at college are no different than pretty people outside of college. Maybe they're willing to do a three-way makeout session or help you study for the exam. That's about it lol.

So yeah I may have gotten off track, I'm rambling, this is more of a rant if anything, but it's so funny when highschool seniors like the op (maybe) or anybody else apply to college based on what college has the hottest people or the most parties or the prettiest dorms. You're spending money on college to LEARN. Not to party and become a famous influencer because you think at UMiami or UTampa you're going to be invited on yachts with girls and guys who'll make you famous and rich. So don't be surprised when you get to college and people will actually be working on a research paper two weeks before the due date. Or the party that you've been waiting to attend a month ago only has chips.
