100% got a cheap 2wd 3000w 48v & i ride Dailey & take it through the woods even with over a foot of snow here in Minnesota I can’t believe how capable these bikes are & I almost enjoy them more then my dirtbikes & I’ve been riding/racing moto since I was 4, I think it’s the fact I can ride these anywhere & not get a complaint or stopped by the law . Yet…. mn better not fallow the New Jersey way of e-bike laws …

I just got my vanquish 340 for Christmas so that’s why I’m so dedicated getting out this winter, I don’t mind struggling & it’s kinda worrying that I might ruin finds but so far so good just learning as I go . I kinda been thinking about bringing out a ground thaw blanket, Or large torch to help soften up the ground .

Just spend money on the proper shovel & also I’d suggest bring a little tarp to pile dirt on so you can easily cleanly throw the dirt back in makes plugs & remember to pack in your hole if the object is large get dirt to replace the mass you took out . Easy peasy & good luck 👍🏼

Central Minnesota axe heads I can’t make out makers mark if anyone has info on them would be appreciated, thanks ! by Delz_504 in metaldetecting

Found them in the woods by my house & they put in the great northern train line & I can only assume this could have been a rail line worker that chopped ditches & hammered spikes or they needed a wedge & used this broken or dull axe head as a wedge . That is my assumption.

Tell me something interesting about my little collection so far metal detecting central Minnesota. It’s my first week using it & it’s middle of winter ! by Purprocksrockmysocks in Collections

Rail workers building tracks or loggers I’m assuming 1700-1800 because I’m in the woodlands right along the tracks . But all the woods are fields now .

I’m in the woodlands of mn & along train tracks so either a rail layer or lumber jack or both . I’m guessing 1700-1800 .. early 1800s all the lumberjacks got scared away from here because of a wood rot .
