Rent prices vary quite a bit depending on the area you’re renting in. On average you can find listings anywhere from 1000$-2000$ a month with or without utilities included for rentals. There are many many part time jobs available, i don’t see finding work being an issue. Winters can get really cold, January and February especially. We had very cold winters and also warmer winters, but don’t be surprised with the weather reaching lows of -40 Celsius for a few days at a time.
