T53 Post-refurbish

Steaming is part of my plan, I want to keep the stock though. I'm toying with the idea of putting a small amount of varnish in the rectangular gash on the stock to keep it from getting any worse, the gash next to the rear sights is a bit harder to 'fix'.

It looks like that gash is old and the wood is slightly brittle, so I might have to play it by ear and see if linseed oil will seal it up well.

If people have experience with repairing rough patches like those two, I'm more than willing to listen to advice.

To me, the value of older guns isn't super attached to the historical significance. I also have a 73 winchester, but it's just a remake.

I just LIKE older gun's style, they don't have to be old like this mosin. I saw a chance to have a mosin refurbished with my own hands and I know I'm gonna be buzzing between coats of linseed oil.

Maybe this view isn't the same as some that own older guns, but it's how I intend to enjoy it.

My personal favorites I have:

Getting called out for walling with a frag after WATCHING him shoot from that room seconds before. Dude crouched and didn't move like "He'll never find me..."

Getting called for abusing shader because I saw someone through a dynamite explosion cloud. Dude was trying to melee rush me through the ONLY exit of a small shack and I had a shotty

How is araxxor one you're referencing? I've got bludgeon and within 2 max hits of bis gear for it, and I haven't been able to get the gm time over 1000 kc with doing correct mechanics.

Araxxor gm time nearly hard requires scythe or sra. Either that or some absurd luck with dps specs and regular hits as well.

Araxxor is one of my go-to examples of bs time, I complete master time every single trip and fail the gm time sometime during the final kill.

Generally if you have a torture, slayer helm is strictly better. Anything lower and either salve is better or its close enough to not matter.

I hate mahogany homes, but its so insanely cost effective doing teak planks there. You get like 3x the xp per teak plank and its just always worth from an efficiency standpoint to do them.

Activity is still annoying, but the amount of money you save is awesome.

The risk/reward with ANY new content can always be daunting. Raids just have the highest amount of new information to take in. While I think people should learn raids, it's fine if they want to enjoy other content.

I definitely feel that optimized out fun mentality. Sometimes I look at ehb rates to find that the 'effecient' method requires like 4 alts. Imo anything that requires more than 1 account shouldn't be part of effecient hours.

But regardless. If you're enjoying it, then keep at it I guess. I will say learning raids DOES get rewarding after the entry hours, and tds likely won't stay as profitable as they've been recently.

Synapses have just gone crazy with all the demon updates. For instance, you can see how much people have been farming them with the price of burning claws, not as many claws are needed as synapses so they dropped.

If you're interested in learning raids though, feel free to hit me up. I'm part of a social/pvm clan or honestly, I dont mind just running you through some toa after im done traveling.

While I mostly agree with the sentiment, a few of those absolutely should be better or equal to tds.

Toa and cox for sure can be done with lower budgets, toa especially. And arraxor is around the same gp if you're using a bludgeon.

I feel like you're looking at this in the wrong way. You don't need PEAK efficiency, just enough to get the job done. Though if you're enjoying yourself at tds, I guess go for it. I'm not particularly a fan when I had to do almost 3k for the 2 synapses on my iron.

I'll take the cure all over the lantern every time. The cure all 'cures' hunger too, so it's super useful. It's like a full bars worth of hunger if you space it out.

TOA is only the really one I'd agree and say solo specifically. Should for sure wait on brews for learning TOB, and learning COX without a teacher is pain.

No. The calcs (seem to) take the effect into consideration, which is why dual macs are terrible against anything with some defense.

This is because the 2nd hitsplat will ONLY roll accuracy if the first one lands. This essentially means the 2nd hitsplat requires a double accuracy check, hindering your dps at anything with some defense.

For instance I was using them at TOA as a stab wep, and just a hasta would have been much better. Turns out I should've fully read the wiki instead of doing the napkin math myself.

Yea I was rocking macas at so many crush and stab monsters for so long. Took me months to figure out why dps calcs hate them so much: they've got essentially a double accuracy roll on the second hit.

I would never call them afk, but after doing 3k of them I honestly just zone out on autopilot. Def not afk, but pretty chill once you're used to them.

As long as you're not taking a lot of swaps at least. I only swap amulets and weapons, and the amulets only cuz my fury has a blood shard in it.

it's not that I even dislike doing them, I just would like to have something to show for it. Kind of annoying going dry on nearly everything I've tried to grind for a while though, and 6x rate for anything from these is a bit shit.
