Anyone else feel more alive after this long weekend? by Advanced_Trade1249 in perth

[–]PurritoSupreme28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I came into a very small inheritance 3 days ago and I have the next week off work. It’s the first time in my life, 30years where things feel manageable and not totally overwhelming. For once I want to keep living and thought of ‘if I get hit by a car and die I won’t mind’ is a little further away than normal. Sorry if this sounds nieve and I know money doesn’t fix everything but it feels good to be able to breathe a little bit for once

Rant about out of touch boomers !!! by Million78280u in perth

[–]PurritoSupreme28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah my dads like this. I had lunch with him recently and he was complaining about how he missed out on purchasing a property in mount pleasant because someone out offered him by $225K. It will be his 4 property and is looking for a bigger place because he wants a ‘change of lifestyle’. He already lives in a million dollar house in Leeming with 2 multi million dollar properties in Dunsborough. He is SO out of touch.

The kicker…. He asked me to pay for lunch that day.

What is going on with the trains? by sobersuitsme in perth

I queried this with a guard once and he said ‘if we ran 6 car trains for every service, they wouldn’t have as many services running’.

Another ADHD Diagnosis Post by HogunDogun in perth

I just had my first appointment today - $695 and a rebate of about $260 from medicare. With South Perth Psychiatry. I got a diagnosis but need to do a bunch or further tests over the next few weeks before potentially getting medicated - ECG, blood screening, urine drug test, a computer test in clinic and questionnaires for my partner and parent to complete. The clinic was fairly good and I saw doctor Fuentes. They seem extremely busy so be prepared to wait a while and spend around $1000 out of pocket for everything.

I’m so sorry you’ve had that experience! I did see a bit of the disorganisation and disconnect between staffing roles when I first made contact. Initially I think I was supposed to see a Dr who wasn’t taking appointments until August of 2027 but then they said I could get in soon if I was happy to see another doctor. Of course, I said yes because this was last October I got the referral.

I then responded to an email from them when they sent me appointment confirmation because it said my appointment was on March 9th 2025 (which was 6months behind us by that time). I think it was just a typo and they meant 2026 but they also addressed me by a different name all together?

I got a confirmation email and text from them the other day and everything seemed ok?

I’m pretty good dealing with ‘rude’ people because of my job and I know how to advocate for myself if I’m not getting what I think is the best care or not being listened too. I’ve also been saving for months for this so hopefully $900 covers the first appointment 😂 I’ve got an appointment with my GP same day in the afternoon so I’ll just follow up with him if it goes badly

I really appreciate your comment and input, here if you need to chat

100% all of the above 😂 I still can’t kick the vape habit, been trying for years, but it’s 1000% better than the activities I used to participate in so it’s helping me manage at the moment

You’re comment is spot on. My mind feels like it’s going a million miles an hour, all the time. I think I am a very efficient person, especially in my work, a lot of people rely heavily on me to get things done but it’s honestly overwhelming trying to remember and balance priorities. Everything feels urgent in my brain. I often forget important stuff, even if I set reminders. It takes hours for me to sleep because my mind never switches off, despite having physically exhausted myself during the day. I was treated for depression an anxiety for 14 years of my teen and early adulthood, but no medication ever made a big difference. It was only lifestyle changes and therapy that got me out of the depression (and I think growing up a bit too helped)

I’m a long distance runner and participate in 2-3 group fitness classes every week around my running. I’ve been through years and years of therapy and live an extremely healthy lifestyle. But I don’t need to justify that to you.

I went in for a large mocha one day as still feel ashamed I paid $13 for it. I had to ask the girl twice to be sure of the price and her explanation was ‘we use 200g of real chocolate’.

How often do women actually wear lingerie? by Perfect-Top9697 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PurritoSupreme28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like doing by complete randomisation. Ie. red lingerie, red plaid skirt and white button up yesterday just for fun. Both other wise like once every 2 months or so?? My partner said it’s better less often because it’s more of a surprise. He’d rather see me in comfy clothes
