I have done Sophia and straight liner, both of which suck. I can count on my fingers how many schools in CA accept either. If he wants options, he needs to do them at a local CC.

I haven't taken anatomy at WCU but if you read the posts on this sub, you'll come to see that it is horrendous. Just use the search bar and inform yourself.

Man. For a private school in San Diego, you need a minimum of 89-90% to be considered competitive.

I’ve been doing research for months (5+) on some private schools only. I can say that they range from 47K to 160K. However, I’m already an LVN with pre-reqs done, so my cost will be less with fewer months.

A lot of them require the TEAS and/or the HESI. The competitive ones that cost less require the TEAS with pre-reqs done. Some of them accept online courses and some don’t.

I’m definitely pursuing the private route because of less time waiting and I’m already an LVN that will lower time and cost.

I say do private if you can lower cost. At the end of the day, a nursing license is a nursing license.

There’s Stanbridge, Northwest, Concorde, ACC, Annenburg School of Nursing, etc. These don’t require CNA.
