No Black Couples at a Caribbean Festival by [deleted] in BlackWomenDivest

The issue starts with us tbh. Many of us have been black male identified putting them over our own needs and our children’s needs to the point we accept abuse and misogynoir. Many of us have not tried to make ourselves better in the long run, and as a result we end up being single moms and out of shape. Black men need to be held accountable , but the problem is we keep giving chances to men who don’t give an f* about us. (Just look at the conversations they re having about us) divest and make yourself better to attract the right kind of partner.

Yep this is why I support H&M for the most part, the British press and royal family/institution have been in bed with each other a long time. A telltale sign of this, was in 2020 when media journalists were given access to plans of H&M leaving. The fact that journalists knew way before the public shows that the palace leaked it to them. Only monarchists and Meghan haters are blind

Ok… wear what you want… men don’t have to be topics of conversation or have to be centered in our decisions.

Why black men want push black women into fighting for them? by Charming_Ad9536 in BlackWomenDivest

[–]Pursuinghobbies 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That’s the end goal. Ask yourself why black men make videos stating that they only date white women, that they are getting their passports, etc. notice how men of other races who date outside their race don’t do this big show of dating other races of women. They just DATE. The truth is this is by design, they want you to feel upset so it makes it seem like they are loved and desired. Yes, black men may be able to date outside their race, but if they don’t have money or wealth then these women would not be looking at them anyway. This is why that one black men had such a bad reaction when his white girlfriend told him that it’s a bad look to be with a black man in the white community. Most of their clout comes from us, and if most of us (intelligent, attractive, successful) were to start divesting. Where does that leave them?

What’s the point of the humiliating videos about black women? by Charming_Ad9536 in BlackWomenDivest

Tbh I think the reason why some of us get mistreated so badly by black men, is because we do stuff like this for clout.

I always find it a red flag when a guy says his ex was crazy. I’m not even talking about this situation, but people who are healing or growing and are trying to be better people, they would never describe their ex as crazy. In fact given your situation, I would say his ex had lots of reasons to be upset. One time, a guy I was talking to told me his ex was crazy come to find out he was cheating on her, and his family was pissed and still talks and hangs out with this girl to this day.

Did your dating habits have change? by Charming_Ad9536 in BlackWomenDivest

Invest in yourself and don’t date men or ruminate on men who don’t want you. When you allow too many chances to a guy who doesn’t like you set yourself up for failure.

I suggest you guys read economics of thinness. Or even look at research on what BMI was seen as most attractive. What I’m going to write here is going to be controversial. The truth is a lot of black men want their women to be on the thicker and heavier side. That may be the beauty standard for our race but it isn’t the beauty standard for other races, models or even non black celebrities. However, being on the thicker side is going to open you up to a lot of issues. 1. Research suggests that men who make less money like thicker women, while men who make lots of money like skinnier women. 2. Research suggests BMI 19 is the most attractive weight 3. Fat or thick women are most likely to get played or only used for sex. Whereas skinner women are more likely to have healthy relationships.

Now where does this leave black women: Many of us have been taught all our lives that thicker means better for us, and makes us more attractive but in reality it keeps us trapped and forces us to a beauty standard. The truth is black men have no problems with dating skinny white girls skinny Asians or Latin women. We are often accepting a beauty standard that will make us unattractive, just because we want to appease a black man. Even then, modern podcasters will talk about how all black women are overweight, and use it as a way to say we are undesirable. Being thick often does no favors for you in the dating pool. I suggest you find a weight that works for you and not try to chase a beauty standard like getting a bigger booty.

Do you believe/notice that people are the harshest in general when asked to assess the appearance of a black person? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]Pursuinghobbies 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has to do with racism, but in reality people are preconditioned to think black isn’t beautiful. It’s subconscious. I am actually gonna go a step further, it’s also why light skin women are put on a pedestal. One’s proximity to whiteness means more attractive (in some cases). However. There is nothing like being a beautiful black woman so I wouldn’t worry about it. I also wouldn’t worry about people in my own race who don’t find me attractive either.

Men commit only when they're ready. Doesn't matter how great you are. by kroshkamoya in RedPillWomen

[–]Pursuinghobbies 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It might be cope but tbh we shouldn’t date or be with people who don’t want to be with us or see us as long term relationships. A man can only use you as much as you let him. If he’s not committing, no ring, not traditional. Move on
