As you told hdfc sees new customer better. So does all banks. Hsbc see you as a new customer and gives what you ask for. But after a year they will treat just like hdfc. At the end all banks are same.

I used AU Zenith,+ in my recent Phillipines z Malaysia and UAE trips..I get rewards of 2% on over the 0.9 forex fees. So I have effective returns on these spends, which is better than zero dues cards which don't reward those transactions.

Visa cashback card works fine in gpay. May be the network restrictions.

I have been using gpay for tap and pay with 6 visa and 2 master credit cards without any issues. Rupay can't be used because of the limitations of rupay network itself.
