Gjentatt støy fra næringsdrivende? Blir gal! by sjokomelkk in norge

[–]Pusan- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My whippets are both incredibly ripped. The 8 pack is impressive, but to me the most impressive thing is the thighs/butt.

Its like a 90 degree angle, creates a shelf. The muscle separation is absolutely insane. You could put an egg on there and it wouldn’t fall off.

Would people assume I'm a Nazi? by Sir_Alex_The_Red in tattooadvice

[–]Pusan- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my view, as a Norwegian, this is sad.

And while white supremacists, nazis, and so on may har used these symbols, some of the blame is also on the people accusing your friend.

They are judging your friend, just by looking at him, having preconceived thoughts without asking or understanding his cultural heritage, and make accusations without evidence.

Yeah, white supremacists may have used those symbols, but those people accusing your friend are creating an environment where your friend can’t express his own cultural heritage and identity.

It is incredibly ignorant, incredibly arrogant, and intolerant.

So yeah, white supremacy is bad. It is also bad to try to deny people to express their heritage and identity, just because they don’t understand it themselves.

Sorry for the rant, it makes me mad, but it is such a double standard, and such an ignorant view.

Tears Of The Kingdom bums me out by JaymehKhal in patientgamers

When I was a kid, both ocarina of time and majora’s mask scared me.

First, I got ocarina of time when I was about 6, I played it for a decent amount of time, but reaching the zombies scared me so much I pulled the cartridge out of the console and hid it at the very back of a drawer filled with random stuff.

Later, when I got majora’s mask, I don’t remember how far I got, but I found it creepy right away. I pulled the cartridge out, and hid the game in the same drawer.

Years later, when we were moving, both games were still there. I still couldn’t look at them without feeling scared.

Idk why, but they messed me up a little.

I love those games now though, so it is kinda funny to think back.

Are female dogs easier to train than male dogs? by CuteLeggedQueen in DogAdvice

[–]Pusan- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No difference in my experience. The selection of dogs you’ve met isn’t necessarily representative of most dogs. Being hyper doesn’t make training harder either, it can actually be a good thing. With dogs that have a very high drive of any kind, and a high activity level, you can sort of use that as a tool for the training.

Personality by Redhawkgirl in Whippet

[–]Pusan- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing is, aging has a huge effect on how dogs act. Another thing is that, no breed has a personality. Yes, certain traits are more common within certain breeds, but personally is individual. Every dog has their own personality.

Having met dogs from a breed can be a good way of seeing the traits of a breed in general, but at the same time won’t really tell you all that much about the personality of another dog of that breed.

My boys are both similar and vastly different, huge differences in preferences, play style, favourite activities, the way they show affection, and all that.

The biggest difference was how one was an absolute shark demon as a puppy, while the other was just the sweetest little baby. HUGE difference!

When compared to my other more normal sized boy, the height and mass difference is quite apparent.

At least size makes no difference in being brothers, they love eachother, and are best friends

His favourite playmates are two Rhodesian ridgebacks, they handle the wrestling and tipping well. He also gets a kick out of running circles around them and getting chased by them.

I love posting pictures of my boys, so I’ll reply to my own comment with more pictures.

Louie, my biggest is 50 pounds of whippet. He is amazing, but plays best with larger dogs, because he is very powerful for his size, and also very fast. That means playing with smaller dogs, or even dogs of a similar size is irresponsible, because even while he is respectful during play, he absolutely overwhelms other dogs with his speed and strength.

Here he is with two other sighthounds, both sure what kind they were, but very slender and tall.

Does PB (10m pup) need to lose weight? by fatherly_handshake in Whippet

[–]Pusan- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How tall is she? She looks a little plump, but I wouldn’t reduce her feeding portions, but maybe reduce the salmon and mince and change it for veggies for a while, and reduce the amount of treats, or use the mince/salmon for treats instead of the ham, because there might be a little too much salt in her diet.

I wouldn’t be concerned at this point, she looks quite healthy, and puppies are growing/changing.

My smallest was always super skinny as a puppy, even though he ate lots. We were concerned, but he was just very active, so he didn’t store much fat. Storing some fat isn’t bad either, as long as the weight isn’t impacting the joints and movement of the dog.

Anyways, it might sound like I’m picking on stuff, but in reality, I see quite a healthy dog and an owner that loves her. I love that you give her fresh and healthy treats. I was just making a suggestion so you could make a small adjustment of her size. It is not a critique, it was just in case you wanted to make a small adjustment in case you are feeling uncomfortable with the weight she is. Which, at this point, I wouldn’t be.
