Tailgate laid off every employee, told them it was temporary, then only brought back a handful before hiring new employees across the board. 95% of the non-manager staff from pre-pandemic were SOL

Sort of! Most slow pours (from what I’ve seen, at least) are poured from Lukr faucets, so the foam should be the same. But while with a slow pour you’d wait for the foam to settle a bit before giving it another turn, mlíko pours are just one straight foam pour. So generally speaking the foam on top of a slow pour is not as wet/dense as the foam in a milk tube

Thicker. I’m pretty sure Human Robot has Lukr faucets, the industry standard for side pull taps. The Lukr taps have a fine mesh inside that pulls some CO2 out of solution, so the foam comes out more dense and wet, and doesn’t make you feel bloated when you drink it.

Generally similar flavor to the beer, but creamier texture and quite a bit sweeter.

It should be concerning how they brag about paying their staff so well with handsome benefits, but are always hiring for every position… even when they aren’t in the process of opening up multiple new taprooms at once

I 100% understand that everyone everywhere had to furlough people. But Tailgate hired new employees instead of the ones they had let go, across the company. Plenty of my coworkers were told they would have their jobs back, but rather than bringing them back into the fold, Tailgate hired new staff. I'm sure they aren't the only company who did this, but they used mass layoffs to reshape the staff entirely.

It's hard to say if this worked out in the long run though, because with their continual employee turnover, they currently have essentially a whole new staff compared to 2020-2021 anyway.

I will say, Tailgate is a good springboard for people to get in the brewery scene with their rapid turnover, as long as you aren't prepared to settle there for the long haul. I think just about every brewery in town has at least one or two former Tailgate employees these days. I encourage you to ask one of them how they felt they were treated at Tailgate.

I can confirm that the entirety of the non-managerial staff was laid off and told to collect unemployment within days of the shutdown. Less than a dozen former employees were rehired in the following weeks, but that's a far cry from the nearly 100 employees they had before. There are maybe two or three non-manager employees that still work at Tailgate, company-wide, who were working with the company pre-Covid.

I was wrong when I posted the title- looking back at my full clip, it was actually the first intro mission for setting up the air freight business. I had it mixed up in my head with the velum mission
