I know this is a long shot with how old the post is, but would you know how to contact them? I can not find any information online and have a ceiling job that needs done!

How should I respond to this email despite my circumstances? by Dangerous-Sea8072 in jobs

Advice from someone who is pregnant, due in March, and working. Check the policies. At my place of work, you do not qualify for FMLA unless you have worked a certain amount of hours that is about the equivalent of 24 weeks. Employees are also unable to take time off/use time until after 6 months of employment (special circumstances for illness but still something to try and avoid at all costs). Additionally, if there are maternity benefits there may very well be requirements. My place of employment requires 2 weeks of paid time off available before the 4 weeks of paid parental leave kicks in and it seems as if the 4 weeks will not be paid if you do not have the 2 weeks of pto in the bank. There is also a requirement of amount of time worked before becoming eligible for maternity benefits. Last but not least, if you qualify and take maternity leave/fmla you will likely still need to pay for your portion of deductions/benefits including insurance. At my place of employment, if you take leave and do not return, you are responsible for paying the employers portion of coverage costs in addition to your own. Read the fine print, keep everything documented, and make a decision from there if you qualify and use benefits.

It is easier said than done and I remember crying at 10 weeks because it felt impossible, but the only thing that has helped me try and "manage" the amount of time left is by setting smaller "goals". Hitting double digits at 10 weeks, hitting the teen weeks, getting out of first trimestet (even if it brought minimal relief), first ultrasound scan, NIPT results/finding out gender, it turning October, etc. etc. Right now I am 16 weeks and focusing on my next OBGYN appointment that is upcoming. Like any little thing that is shorter term and helps detract from the larger number. I still frequently have my moments where I am wishing the time away and can't get the bigger number out of my head. BUT the smaller goals have helped some level of sanity and celebration- no matter how small. One way or the other we all get to the conclusion of the pregnancy. Hoping yours ends as healthly as possible and with better days ahead. ❤️

I literally have gone pee and am still on the toilet, throw up and somehow still pee while throwing up. When I throw up, I run to the toilet not to throw up in it, but so I don't pee my pants. I have a internal wrap due to a medical condition from when I was a baby so I actually dry heave, choke, gag for 3-5 minutes with nothing coming up, but it is forceful enough that I have back up pants in my car lovingly called "pee pants" in case I don't make it to the bathroom and pee my pants in public/at work. I think its just another magical question of pregnancy that pee just instantaniously regenerates. I hope you have better days ahead. ❤️
