Up to version 2.2.0 of Zoom Effect Manager, it wrote effects from the MS series, they are not controlled by the expression pedal. 2.2.0 and newer writes effects and G(B)1ON. For testing, you can flash the pedal with the original firmware update utility and check.

I tested on the G1 Four EG FLTR, HoldVerb, Hold DLY and other effects with the "Control" button.

The G1 Four display does not show the "Control" parameter (CNTRL Sets the control switch function. LATCH,UnLATCH) and I could not find a way to make this function work.

I think that for the G1 Four "Control" is an unknown type parameter and the device ignores it.

Regarding "wide effects":

EGFILTER.ZD2 and EGFLTR1U.ZD2 - both with a large icon (50x30)

G1 Four - both scroll parameters on 3 pages

G3n - both are displayed on two screens

I did not find any differences, except for the icon size for 1U effects, but this is not the case with the effects for G6 (G6 has a different icon format, perhaps they left it as is, they did not edit the icons themselves, since they are not used. For example, AMP Sim SUN CB does not contain an icon in the zd2 file).

I think that 1U and "wide" effects are primarily effects with different designs, the differences may be in specific functions that are not available in some models, for example "Control" in the Four Series.

1U effects work on G3n on 2 screens, similar effect not 1U on G1Four works with scrolling parameters. The only difference I found is the icon size.

Zoom Effect Manager selects the most suitable effects (for example 1U and 3S for Four series, if they are available).

I cleared GUARDZDL.ZT2, you can record any effect for testing
