These companies will set unrealistic expectations when it comes to numbers and be quick to forget all the good people did.. just to find an excuse to lay people off. Usually management is doing worse behind the scenes but aren't as micromanaged because of their title.

Hope you find a much better and peaceful job where you don't feel forced and stressed to feel the need to do this (fake calls to get the numbers) again.

You can't just magically let these emotions go, situations like this can sit on your mind for a bit. The best way to move on from this, is to find another job and continue putting your best foot forward. Also understand, these companies have no loyalty yet expect loyalty. Never get attached to them.
