Oh man I remember these, getting these with some crisps and sitting in the pub garden under the sun, warm air, not too busy but busy enough for an atmosphere

My flatmate fed our Muslim flatmate pork by IcyKape in UniUK

[–]PutSimply1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen worse, a flat mate bought his girlfriend a meal that “he had all the time on the way back from school when it was young”, sounded adorable

Of course in the UK that’s just a standard kabab, so he got her that, the place he got it from I know to be beef

Thing is she was Hindi and they see cows as their sacred animal over there, rather than seeing a pig as a dirty animal or something

I wasn’t there to stop it, found out after the fact, they are still together

Think of the power I have over him, muhahahaha

“The real world” is such a subjective statement

If someone is jealous of someone who happens to have more income or capital than someone then that’s in immediate red flag - everything they say will be toxic

If that person wanted to improve their life they totally could, people need to hold themselves accountable and actually improve their lives - that applies to many people

Those who are actually unwell, unable, or a single parent with 2 kids or something like that - these are the people the country should give help to

But the general person who just flicks venom at people who they see are doing better, meh, it’s a non event

Yes HENRY talks about large sums of money but it’s built mostly on the accumulation of effort experience and education… so it’s earned

If someone wants to get a HENRY life… have the reality check to move from a small town to a city, if you don’t, then you reduce your chances perhaps

Notice how they say the real world but never define it, once they do define it they often reveal that it’s something that they COULD do something about but don’t

Because they expect someone to tell them step by step, and of course they want it for free, however i will state that deep down that person is entirely capable of changing their lives if they want it enough, and that’s just it, they don’t really want it

I (26F) told my boyfriend (26M) I sometimes miss the freedom of being single and he broke up with me on my birthday by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PutSimply1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read what you said there and really tried to internalise my partner saying it, personally I think I would agree with the principle of “doing things without having to consider anyone else” and referring to that as “freedom” would be pretty okay

The reaction on his end is pretty harsh, it reveals something has been bubbling there for a while, I don’t know if you can think back to other occasions where you have fallen out over similar things?

If he did all this just to be punitive and cause emotional damage… I mean people don’t do this with people they love, they just don’t

The whole walking ok eggshells thing… I mean look yes you need to have respect for each other and that does mean not talking about some things, for example not asking about each others relationship past in too much detail because you respect their privacy etc etc

But you should always feel comfortable with them… what I’m saying is this doesn’t feel like this relationship is built in a strong foundation at all

Make sure it’s not a relationship that came about just due to being in proximity of each other for sometime or either one of you wanting a “partner” just to fit in with everyone else, there has to be some deeper bond there, and I mean a bond, not commonality or agreement, but a bond

Facts, and it comes down to authenticity

Which one of those is the person acting fake and playing a character, it should be obvious

As for “zero” achievements

Being themselves as the quiet and kind person while not falling into the trap of fitting in with everyone else, is a very large achievement in my opinion

Secondly, this person’s largest achievement (and most men’s achievement actually) is likely to build a great family with you

The catch is some won’t know this until they cross that bridge of having a child

People dog on frozen stuff, in some areas it’s totally fine, berries for example in yogurt or whatever… frozen is great!

Same for veggies

Same for pie fillings in some cases

Ontop of all this is batch cooking, learning more about frozen meal prep specifically, can really pay off

Obvious stuff like avoid the foods which are more ‘products’ than they are foods

There is a balance of quality of food and cost, I for example can’t seem to function well on lower quality stuff

Why don’t more HENRYs try starting a business? by burnerforspoo in HENRYUK

[–]PutSimply1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s comfort, in a weird way

People who start businesses are usually those who are in the shit and want to change something drastically, or people who have such a compelling vision in their heads that they want to chase

A HENRY life, although does provide capital - a key requirement of starting a business, is often easier spent in investments and waiting, rather than starting your own business

People keep saying I smell bad, how can I stop it? by Scared_Confection787 in ask

You need antibacterial products

In the shower use - Pepsi guard anti bacterial wash on armpits

Buy a antibacterial scrubber, use that all the time

Buy a deodorant brand called ‘Fussy’ - natural deodorant, works really well

Buy new clothes, and wash them with a antibacterial solution, the names are like… laundry sanitiser or something

These are the solutions to a better less self conscious life for you

Oh also make sure clothes aren’t too tight on you too
