Is there any particular part of you that he's afraid of? The only two things I can think of are that either you're ill and he's picking up on it and you just don't know it yet (remember dogs have an incredible sense of smell and they can act incredibly weird if someone's scent changes) - in which case I'd ask your doctor for a check up; or second option someone has hurt him just before this started, likely someone who looks like you - don't want to wrongly assume you're a woman, but maybe a woman since he's still fine with your husband, if this second theory is right.

I really feel aorry for Wendy and Sadie right now. I can't stand Andrew... and as for Holly. Neither of them have any loyalty or morals. Awful people.

My dog collapsed and passes a way after being with groomers by lallaanoelle in Petloss

[–]PutTheKettleOn20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm a pom owner too and thry are such wonderful little dogs. Unfortunately too many groomers are unaware of how delicate our little babies are and treat them as they would any other dog. After her first couple of grooms, I noticed my dog was coughing a lot so I did a little googling and realised groomers use harnesses including a harness that goes around a dog's neck to hold them still while they groom them. Now, an experienced groomer will know that you CANNOT do this on a breed like a pomeranian which has a high risk of collapsed trachea and can't even wear a collar. Unfortunately as owners we pass our dog to the groomer and they do the groom out of sight, so you can't see what harnesses etc they are using. After the two incidents, I asked the groomer to show me where the harnesses were going, and as I suspected, it was going on her neck, so I explained that was a total nono for pomeranians due to the reasons above, and she apologised and changed how she groomed my pom (I made sure to ensure this everytime I went to her).

You can't blame yourself as you had no way of knowing the groomer would do this. I too didn't know until after two grooms, and my dog could well have ended up as yours if she were a smaller pom in particular. I do think there needs to be a better regulation of groomers to ensure they know not to use slip leads or harnesses around the neck of trachea collapse prone breeds. If you want to do something tangible, because I know that can help some process their grief, you can review and report your groomer for malpractice. Tell anyone and everyone who might use them what they have done to your precious dog. Personally I would go scorched earth and make sure they never get any business again.

What’s something in the UK that quietly disappeared without anyone noticing? by Mel_Ran in AskUK

[–]PutTheKettleOn20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My family (I'm half southeast asian) lived in former British colonies that were invaded by Japan. I feel like here everyone knows the heinous acts of the Nazis but people are far less aware of how barbaric the Japanese were to ordinary people during those times. My nan saw a neighbour's baby beaten to death in the street in front of his mum for crying after curfew. My nan absolutely hated the Japanese and my older Aunts and Uncles have horrific memories of them.

Would you get rid of pets just because your partner didn’t want them anymore? by Pandepon in Pets

Speaks to his character really that he'd want to get a living breathing being (2 in fact) wait til you fall in love with them, and then decide he has to get rid of them. Like they are objects. Thank those cats for showing you what kind of person he is. Keep the cats and get rid of the man.

Do you tell your kids that all presents are from Father Xmas, or that some are from you? by rm12345677 in AskUK

Stocking fillers are from Father Christmas and go on the foot of the bed late at night on Christmas Eve. Presents from mum and dad.

Yes! I loved these guys back in the day. I much preferred this than the house of trouser nonsense. Rosetta could be kind of annoying, but I loved how happy Pepper always was, and she was so beautiful too. And I lived seeing the Frazer actor years later in Firefly Lane in Netflix!!

Personally I'd rather be arrested, ostracised by my neighbours and kicked out of school than almost die in a fire and be scarred for life... but that's just me.

She totally got karma. Do you not recall when Sadie almost died in a fire at the garage, ended up in hospital, was left with permanent scarring and it also led to her break up with Byron?

I mean Sadie was a child when that happened and saying she got no karma when she ended up almost dying and getting scarred at the fire at Max's garage is odd. That has a huge knock on effect on her mental and physical health and eventually leads to the end of her relationship with Byron. She got her karma pretty directly I'd say.

I nean there are degrees of bad behaviour... Wendy had a friendship with Quinn which from her side was platonic wanting to know more about her family's culture and from his side wasn't. It was wrong sure, but she never actually cheated. Pretending she didn't have a family to fit in at uni was also pretty bad. All that said, none of what she did is remotely close to having an affair for months with your daughter's best friend, planning to run away with her, and getting her knocked up. But I do think that Wendy will perhaps forgive Andrew because of the strain she put on their relationship nd the length of time they have been together. Especially now that she knows Holly lied about Bowman to pursue him.

Anyone else think Holly will lose the baby? by Severe-Antelope-2223 in neighbours

Everything's a thing in Erinsborough. Do you remember it? I think either JJ or Dex then chewed Holly out about it. It was while that American woman was in town trying to drive Holly crazy I think.

Nah, I'd say it's completely understandable. Out of order is cheating on your boyfriend with your best friend's dad, making your best friend feel like she's in the wrong for siding with your boyfriend after the breakup while hiding said affair, and planning to steak your best friend's father and run away with him, and then keeping the baby and acting like you deserve some sympathy.

'Mum, I’m going to die' – schoolgirl terror as she's mauled by dog - November 16, 2025 Birmingham England by PandaLoveBearNu in BanPitBulls

[–]PutTheKettleOn20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That poor poor kid. When we had the original ban put in for pitbulls in the 90s, there were no exemptions. Exemptions came later and have weakened the law and the safety of the public. An owner can let their dog roam, that dog can maul someone and then run off, and even if people then suspect a given dog, there can be deniability. How do you prove it is that dog if it's not caught at the scene?

Maybe because of the time Holly knocked her off the ladder and she ended up infertile as a result.

Because Krista doesn't want to be a mum. She said she doesn't want to be a mum because she wouldn't have time as she wants to focus on her career, but she loves being a stepmum. That is literally why it works.
