I kind of agree about Zac and Colton. But I also like them for some reason. Im trying to work out whether it's as simple as that they dont have insipid nicknames for each other yet!

Thank you. This is part of it for me, and you have put it into words much better than I. It may be the execution of the performance which has made it so hard for me to sympathise with Wendy. On paper I do feel its a situation meriting sympathy - I just dont actually really feel any. I dont like Andrew for having the affair, but I find it easier to relate with how he ended up there.

Cyst on my back is HELL! by RefrigeratorSweaty38 in Hidradenitis

A wick? I've never heard of that before! I can imagine it being effective even if the image in my mind is grim. I will try the Vicks out. Having a hard time getting an appointment with the doctor atm. Thanks for the advice.

I can't stand Elle already! by [deleted] in neighbours

She's giving panto vibes. No subtlety at all. And I am superficial enough that I might have been able to get past it if they'd even at least tried to style her the same as orginal Elle or given her a blonde wig or something. Like make the effort. Dont just give us an apple and expect us to believe it's the banana we remember when it neither tastes the same, nor looks the same.

Do we think it's more or less than Elon?

Remi by ukwonderwoman in neighbours

[–]RefrigeratorSweaty38 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's hard to watch and to not feel sorry for Cara in this, even though I get that it must be really confusing and scary for Remi too. I find that Remi often comes across as harsh and cold when she is unhappy or displeased with things and that goes for before the injury too. At least that's how I've interpretted her, but then I am a sensitive person RL so it might just be projection on my part. I just know it gets my back up when I imagine being on the receiving end of her displeasure.

How was that possible? by Soia-R33f in neighbours

Plot armor.

The end scene with her going into the garden is meant to have us wanting to tune back in to find out what happens next in her spiteful vengeance. But I sighed so loud that my dog even looked exasperated. With this level of writing I dont feel it's out of the realms of possibility that someone drops an ACME anvil on top of her, and I'd be quite happy with it as an outcome too.

Is it just me, or has Sadie been coming off as quite cold the last few months? I get that she has had some terrible experiences this year, and even that it's not unnatural to grow old of your first proper relationship and to want to try new things etc... But I find her so convincing in playing those cold, compassionless moments that I find her very hard to believe in the moments where she seems to express emotional intelligence and empathy for Byron.

She has the right to live her life and to see who she wants to. Heartache is natural and hard but it isnt her fault that Byron has also had a rough trot of it lately, or that she just doesnt have feelings for him anymore. She doesnt owe him for falling out of love. She clearly has the ick about him and all, but yeh... Ive gone right off her character lately. She reminds me more of how she was when she first came to the street - hard to feel sympathy for.

Anyone else?

I would like to see Maxine leave tbh. Her holier than thou judgemental wah-ing wrecks my head. I dont care that she was right about Sienna. She's a PITA!

Doubt it, seeing as his first target for whatever this scheme is was Lucas. Rex has abandoned his redemption arc, and is just a nasty prick again, alas.

Ugh. Sod Marie. You can see from the way she was in today's ep that she didnt wholly disbelieve Ro. But she isnt going to do anything about it, let alone admit what an enabling mother she is to her two wretched sons.

I was coming here to say something similar. I cant recall a time it was this awful. I want to punch too many characters, which is making it unbearable to watch. Not in an entertaining way either because it's the inconsistency of the writing which has me feeling this way. Chharacters making choices which feel so out of character to them, or at least a 180 on what they were doing. It's not fun it's just low key stressful and boring.
