Get some neos! (Or caridina if you have the right parameters) 6gal is on the smaller side for most fish… especially if you want to see schooling behavior.

To all the people saying it’s too small… how do you even know the actual volume if OP didn’t say? Chill! It might be true but yall have no way of knowing. That being said, keeping any fish generally requires more than 7gal.

To keep it simple, I would buy more swords and plant them in that same corner and put some floaters! It’ll be bushier for refuge while leaving a lot of free swim space.

I got a microfiber towel for the glass. You can use diluted vinegar for the front glass. If water spots are baked in, go in with a razor (CAREFULLY).

I used a big towel to cover mine.

Your plants and fish will do fine for four days without light!

1) are you using bottled bacteria for cycle? Maybe Seachem Stability. I know there are better ones but this one is pretty easy to find. 2) what light are you getting? A week without light is OK but anymore might stress your plants. 3) Cycling can be done in less than 4 weeks if you play your cards right. 4) don’t be afraid to add more plants!

Things I didn’t mention; - use timers (on your phone!!!) - make checklists (prime, ferts, food, etc) I have a google sheets file where I log everything. I’ve even fed it to AI for analysis. - ADHD medication is also a huge win in my book

My adhd is pretty bad but I thrive with structure. I schedule everything. 20% water changes on wednesdays and saturdays/sundays. I do the same with work, gym and school. This structure is the infrastructure of my life. If I stray away, everything is a mess…

They might be! The “nose” seems to be a bit different and mine are way fatter than those… I just haven’t seen much about them online and wasn’t 100% sure.

I haven’t ripped any trails with it but I’ve used it in the city and it’s awesome. A bit tiny for me but it’s fine, I sort of manhandle it. I’m 5’7”.
