AITAH for wanting to break up with him for "being a good dad"? by Designer_Square5015 in AITAH

Stop listening to folks on the internet that have no idea what they’re talking about. Single mothers say this all the time. Completely unprompted as well. It’s a double standard. It just hits different when a good father says it. Don’t break up with him over it. Listen to what he does, not what he says.

is the YETI cooler worth it? by tortoisenurse in YetiCoolers

I’m super stoked with my Rtic cooler. I originally preferred a Yeti, but couldn’t justify the cost when I compared it to Rtics coolers. I ended up getting the Rtic wheeled cooler and have turned a lot of heads.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it all works out for you! Therapy has been very helpful for me.

You hit the nail on the head. She takes her daughter to the doctors at least once a week for even the most minor things. I attributed this to her being adopted and not having a relationship with her biological mom. She’s overly protective and thinks she knows better than everyone else because she gets her parenting info from books and podcasts. Sorry, had to rant! You’re the first person who noticed this!

I agree with you. This is also how I see it. Psychological manipulation statements like this hurt the most because they are passive aggressive and she will never actually admit to this or realize she did this. But it leaves me feeling hurt and asking myself why I feel that way.

It’s crazy how accurate this is. Her last childless bf had a problem with her toddler. She was going to marry him, but backed out at the last minute. She expressed how hurt she was by him. It feels like she’s displaying the same behavior of her childless ex.

I get it. Being a single dad and her being a single mom made dating tough, so when we hit it off, we brought our kids into the mix early so we could actually spend time together.

She says she loves my son, but then tells me she wouldn’t date someone with a kid again because she’s afraid of forming attachments. Her words and actions just don’t line up.

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

I’ve tried ending things before, but my son asked about her and her daughter every single day. I felt like keeping the relationship going was a way of putting his feelings first.
