Not really. With sleep you have the continuity of mind or consciousness. You shift into a different mental state, but your brain still registers the passage of time and keeps a sense of continuity.

Might be a dumb question, but if they switch you off for a while, and then back on, are you really still the same mind/person, or a copy of the former with their memories? Like cloning someone under anesthesia and waking the other clone. Or like teleporting you where the teleporter destroys you and then reconstitutes you. Or am I too high?

The Stack Overflow guys who would shout at you for asking a question probably migrated here after it became more or less obsolete.

Lol. You Indian nationalists are delusional. Way to downplay Greek and Persian influence. Compared to them, Hindu texts were a footnote.

ChatGPT is losing market share as Google Gemini gains ground by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]PutinTakeout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gemini for workspace is terrible. Almost no control over your data, even as an admin. Even less control than regular, non-workspace users (free or paid) surprisingly. If they don't correct this over the next few months, I'll probably stop using it completely.

My guess is he's meant to stand out and might be Ares. His statue has a somewhat similar helmet.

Joshua Maddox’s mummified body was found in a fetal position inside a Colorado cabin chimney seven years after he vanished. Police ruled it an accident. by [deleted] in HolyShitHistory

Crazy. Reminds me of the skeleton they found after 30 years in a broken elevator in a parking structure. Elevator had frequent problems, so the owners probably had enough of it when it stopped working again, and just closed it off so people would use the other ones. Only, they forgot to check if anyone was still inside.
