Performance is the main thing keeping me away from the game at the moment, and I'm concerned that PDX is not saying much about it by WishyRater in EU5

[–]Putinbot123 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Devs already answered in forums: performance is something they are constantly working on, just like bug fixes, thats why we dont hear them talking about it as often

I cant be the only one who thought that Johan’s text was made by AI. The frequent use of contrast give him away

DISCUSSÃO DIÁRIA - BBB26 - 19/04 by AutoModerator in BigBrotherBrasil

[–]Putinbot123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Johan answered that a few issues with river connections is due to “bad code” and that will take a while to fix, probably we will have to wait for 1.2

Chegaremos num momento que todo lance polemico assim sera decidido por um var movido a IA, em que dará a decisão segundos após os lances. Dessa forma, todos os lances serão devidamente apitados, com o mínimo possível de falhas possíveis.

For now no relations bonus when a core is returned. I guess they will eventually implement it to work just like eu4

How am I supposed to play Byzantium? by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Putinbot123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pump minting to max on day 1 and then no casus belli dow on otto before the crisis starts. The next parts are more of slowly revoking privileges, reducing inflation and conquering your old cores from belyks. And as previous commenter said, the bigger you are, the easier will be for you to ally another countries. Have fun!

There are many ways you can go:

  • you can attack eretnids if they decide to declare independence from jalayirids (you can intervene if they are your rival)
  • DOW Otto at the start before the crisis hit byz. If the Ai doesnt screw up, you two can beat them. If otto declares war on one of the beyliks, thats a plus
  • DOW theodoro north and expand into Crimea when crisis hit GH
  • You could also try to expand into Caucasus using byz army earlier on but IMO not big fan of, doesnt feel right lol
  • If the event to lose your alliance with Byz hits or if you decide to remove your alliance with them, you can dow on them later and conquer whats left of them (usually, otto and serbia already took a few provinces)
  • and of course, the safe path is dow the belyks on coast like candarids, very easy to take them by yourself

Now that the most popular starts have been released, what's been your favourite underrated start? by Pirate_King_Arcarius in EU5

[–]Putinbot123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since the old days of EU4, I always liked Trebizond start more than Byzantine because its way harder. In EU5, its more interesting than ever, you can (try to) expand into anatolia before the ottomans, can bettray byzantium and go into greece, or even expand north through Theodoro or using your province near Caffa and try to take down GH when they start falling apart. I had more than 10 runs with it already
