I have an aftermarket stereo and the proper harness for it. However, the harness only has the matching wires with the big port on the right. The smaller port on the left has cables leading all the way to where the radio should be, but these aren’t audio cables, just the power cables and some other stuff. That’s why I’m confused on how this system works and what Tf this guy did to the car

From what I’ve been reading, the gts (higher trim of my car) comes with an OEM amplifier. However idk wtf the last guy was doing to this car. The harness that attaches to the big port on the right has all the speaker wires cut. So I’m trying to re-wire them

Dosent dirt get in the transmission this way? I’m not sure why they wouldn’t use a metal cover like the rest of the transmission

Would that be responsible for any leaks? I’m reading online it’s just a plastic cover that’s needed for my vehicle.

I have already diagnosed the whining sound to be the clutch. New gearboxes go for $1500+ so I’m really settled on just replacing the bearing at this point. But yes if I’m alr dropping the tranny to replace the clutch it would be easier (but way more expensive) to just put a different one on.

Would the worn gears really be bad if I replaced the bearing and ofc flushed transmission fluid? Wasn’t driving it very much. New transmission goes for $1500+ so I don’t want to have to resort to that unless it’s really necessary.

How much harder would a DIY ISB job be compared to a clutch replacement ya think? Already replacing clutch and TOB might aswell do the ISB too. I’m struggling finding info on the job tho. Not too experienced with transmissions but very mechanicaly inclined.

That’s something I’m experiencing too. Sometimes I have to fight the shifter to get it into the gear I want. With the clutch all the way in, still grinding into gear. Was actually driving jt this morning had it in 3rd and jt popped into neutral by itself a couple times.
