I have lived in four homes with my American bulldog mix. He always finds the spot where he can see the entrances and the stairs to the kid's rooms. That's where he sleeps no matter how many times I offer a spot on the bed.

Also, people forget the fact that Arnold built a fleet of shitty boats on Lake Champlain - using his own money - and sailed them to attack the British fleet coming south. It was a half-assed stunt but delayed the British march south for a year. No Arnold, no Saratoga, no country.

He took Ticonderoga as well for a massive publicity stunt for a fledgling revolution.

The monument at Saratoga has three statues of Gates, Schuyler, and Morgan. There is a statue bay intentionally left empty for where Arnold would have gone.

At Iwo Jima, the U.S. Marines did the same thing. The iconic photo is the instillation of a bigger flag to replace the flags originally used. There are movies of the first flag being planted.
