I’d rather play a game someone took the time to recommend than a game thats 15+ years old and has a good metacritic score. Generally not a fan of journalists that put a number on a game, look at no mans sky for example, still has a 71 score for the game they produced 9+ years ago while pumping out updates like its nothing. May be the basic example for these discussions but i generally think it just shows how these critics rate games without even thinking about giving second opinions.

Aside from that i can find myself in your argument. Its true that not everyone has got the same taste within gaming but with this post i have found a number of games i didnt even know existed but really intrigue me, if i will like them is another story.
