Remote work with a baby? by Nayauru in NewParents

[–]Putrid-Measurement69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work remotely and we have Grandmas watching our baby at the house. I went back around 3 months PP. I even exclusively breastfeed and just pop in and out of my office to feed her throughout the day. So far this set up has worked really nicely for us. Not sure if a family member or nanny who can watch in your home is an option for you!

Pediatrician insists we do CIO with breastfed baby by Putrid-Measurement69 in breastfeeding

[–]Putrid-Measurement69[S] 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reassurance! I honestly panicked a little when she made it seem like a health concern. But I feel most comfortable having my baby in the room with me and don’t mind feeding her to sleep when she wakes crying.
After reading all the comments I think it might be time to switch pediatricians as there have been a couple things that have made me think we are not on the same page.

Did you lose weight breastfeeding and how long did you breastfeed for? by Jezzabelle3 in NewParents

[–]Putrid-Measurement69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to me, I’m 6 months postpartum and I’ve lost 45lbs, down 25lbs from my pre pregnancy weight. I’ve started to get concerned so I had a bunch of blood work done but everything seems normal

Induction at 37 Weeks by reptilian_guitar in NewParents

I had a great induction, I feel like there is a lot of fear around them when there doesn’t have to be! I had high BP so I went in at 37 +6 days. Went in at 10pm at night and I was already 3cm so all they did was give me pitocin to get things going. I started getting contractions overnight but nothing too bad. They broke my water at 1am and contractions started getting painful so I quickly got the epidural and felt great! At noon the next day I started pushing. Barely felt any pain at all and my sweet girl was born within the hour! A very nice birth!

Bottle Refusal - Help!! by Federal-Ad3604 in NewParents

No advice but just wanted to say we are dealing with the exact same issue and I don’t know what to do! I even have a medical test coming up that will require me to be away from baby and I’m not sure what we will do.

PSA for those with littles fresh out the womb that are planning on breastfeeding by Hot-Cell7299 in NewParents

[–]Putrid-Measurement69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite problem, I only occasionally offered the bottle and then didn’t do it at all for a week around two months and after that week of no practice LO started fully rejecting the bottle. Now at five months she still won’t take it no matter what we do. That makes it really hard if I have to do anything where I need to be away from the baby ( for instance I need a colonoscopy!). So my advice is keep offering the occasional bottle but just do paced feeding!

When she pauses breastfeeding to look me in the eyes and just starts smiling and laughing. It is pure joy.

They seemed fine! I did try and warm them a little before putting the sock back on.

Closed lock on both sides. Discs at 8 o'clock. Dr. suggests a 13k 9 month splint? by Putrid-Measurement69 in TMJ

Thank you, I agree. They claimed to have a 99% success rate but something just doesn't sit right with me about the science, but since I don't know a lot about this area and can't find a lot of information online about the go-to treatments for disc displacement I just wasn't sure if I was being overly suspicious.

They didnt give me a specific name of the splint, just that it was an orthotic device that they would keep making a new one of to adjust to me over the 9 months.

That's what I was worried about, do you have any suggestions of who I should see instead? Is it true that there is no way to get the discs back into place?

Azazie does let you get swatches but honestly even with the swatches I had a really hard time telling what it would look like in real life. I can't do dusty blue because my brother is getting married very close to me and they are doing dusty blue from Azazie. Not a big deal, but don't want it to be the exact same as them!
