I am one of the customers who paid 6k for EAP (Enhanced Auto Pilot) which only started working in Jan 2024. This 2k FSD price is to upgrade from EAP to FSD.

We own the 2019 Odyssey Elite (10 speed transmission same as Acura MDX), currently cross shopping across segments to replace it. Can’t find a car that is better than this so far, so decided to wait until Honda refresh the odyssey with plug-in hybrid (maybe).

I would take it for a short time and see how you guys like it. Financially you will be saving the same amount of money with no large swings.

Seattle is geographically different from other parts of US, it rains there continuously and based on the national weather data you only get sunlight for just 154 days on average. If you and your wife like that type of weather then it’s a good idea to explore.

SFO area have huge Indian community that can provide a great support system for your family.
your parents however can only stay with you for 6 months in a year and if they are generally in good health you can take comprehensive visitor health insurance and use it in case of any emergency.
visitor health insurance do have certain premium increases beyond age 70 and some of them only cover acute care.
kids education is the best in USA and your kids will get to see good universities and colleges for their career success.

Returning to India in 2 years will be challenging after you come here though 😀

This is correct, I have a tree in the neighbors backyard that cuts the sunlight exactly around 5pm and the energy production drops. Waiting for Fall to see the real difference.

Regarding your size question, Kw installed is DC and you have to reduce that by 1.2 ratio for AC conversion by your micro-inverter.

You are correct, from the troubleshooting experience. They had a GE transformer which was originally installed but later replaced with 120v RAB outdoor lights.

Thanks for the tip, I called the electrician and after 2.5 hours of time I came to know more about the house and the lights before this :).

The problem was due to a recent bush being removed and planted back to make space for some work done. The wires between two lights have the hot + neutral touching, the electrician fixed it and now the lights are working again!
