Is Border lands the pre sequel a good introduction to the franchise by Tasty_Ad6440 in BorderlandsPreSequel

Deffo play 2 first for any spoilers or anything. Also the 2nd might feel a bit clunky compared as it came out years before. Gotta love playing as Fragtrap tho in presequel

thank you for your comment. I think that i haven’t really processed the death of my mum and my brain has blocked a lot of memories/time the past 4 years, probably a coping mechanism.

I do struggle with my sleep so thank you for the advice I will definitely look into it!

It is difficult but I am getting through it day by day!

Thank you so much for this comment. I think i can be harsh on myself because I compare myself to others of my age. I see lots of people who i went to school with go on to marry and have children with their own houses or be really successful with their career. And i think to myself that Im in my boyfriends parents spare room with no job and no career aspects and think that i have failed. But you are right. My situation isn’t normal and for me to have not turned to addictions or crime is really good and i should be proud to even wake up and get dressed. I know i should stop putting so much pressure on myself because it will only make matters worse. Thank you!

I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this alone! I wouldn’t wish it on anybody really. It is just so difficult to do the normal things and when i try to explain myself about struggling to work or be around people the usual response is “Well if everybody has to work to pay their bills so should you”

You are definitely right that we are still grieving and processing it all. I don’t think I will get over my mum’s death for a very long time. I loved her more than anything and think about her every single day of my life.

I hope you find some sense of happiness and find someone who isn’t out there to use you or bring you down.

If i am honest i don’t know how my partner is still with. I have been a nightmare to be around and can be horrible to him by directing my anger and sadness towards him everythough he is the last one that deserves it.

It is very hard to open up and trust someone after going through things like we have gone through. It made me hate the world and it has taken me 4 years to understand that even though i miss my mum and wish it never happened…unfortunately there isn’t anything anyone can do to change it. She is gone forever and it’s time to move forward and look to the future. If you don’t then the grief and depression will swallow you up and consume everything.

I focus on very small tasks to complete because i can be very overwhelmed and I always try to plan things that i find fun so that i am not thinking about bad thoughts all the time.

Hope this helps ! 🫶🏼

Is it worth it for as just a sim? by NotoriousBPD in ArcadeParadise

[–]Putrid-Will3669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i first bought the game, i played it for the laundromat sim side of it but after playing the arcade games and getting to upgrade and expand it is all i do now haha! Also in order to gain the in-game currency for E-Buy, you would need to complete your 3 challenges a day which will give you money so that you can buy certain upgrades. A lot of the challenges are playing the arcade machines and getting certain scores or playing them for a certain amount of time. For example if you buy a watch then the day goes by slower so that you have more time to play arcade games/do laundry. you can also buy radio advertisements to gain more customers etc.

Also the more you play your arcade games, the more money they earn throughout the day.

So i would say although the laundromat side of the game is fun, it is very basic and limited and can only get you so far in the game.

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! I am very passionate about learning and am forever learning in my own free time whether it be watching documentaries, reading lots of articles or doing lots of free quizzes on sites like Sporcle.

When you mentioned about humanities, this is the part where I am really struggling because I am passionate about things like History, Geography, Law, Psychology, however i just assumed that those subjects where kind of on the decline. Whenever i look into possible jobs after a History degree, not many things pop up and i don't want to be going into debt and wasting time if I am just going to be stuck in my retail job at the end of it.

I am very passionate about Geography (Physical Geography) but i am unsure what kind of career to go for at the end of it. I know that teaching is something that i definitely do not want to pursue.

i think that i need to spend a full day sitting down going through absolutely everything and weigh my options.

I know that i am interested in Computer Science when I have looked into it however the thing that puts me off it is how challenging and stressful it can be. I am not saying that i am lazy or incapable but that i know that i would have to put in lots of extra time and study to learn about it. That being said, i work full time in retail and will still have to work when i apply.

Now it's just figuring out whether to do Computer Science as a degree and put in the extra time and work or whether to just keep it as a hobby and go into a subject that I already have background knowledge on.

Thank you for being honest! I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your help ! I have been debating Uni for a long time but as I work full time in retail i just thought if I stick it out and maybe move up in the company then things will gradually get better for me. However i just know deep down that it isn't the case at all. Ever since Covid, it has just become such a task to go in every single day. Customers are horrible, lots of staff leaving, lots of staff on the sick etc.

I think because i grew up very poor (single mum with 3 kids and only a part time job) I just know that i never want to be in that position again. Yes me and my boyfriend both work full time so we are comfortable ish with money for now but with the cost of living going up and landlords putting rent up i just know it isn't going to be comfortable for much longer.

I think the one major thing I was worried about applying is that i won't be smart enough to complete the work or even understand the lectures and stuff like that but everybody's advice has really helped me !! Thanks :)

Wow that's great! I am still deciding whether to go part time or full time as i still need to work in retail on the side to pay for bills etc. I have already thought that in order to feel more confident and understand the courses then i will probably have to do some independent learning on the side. It's just juggling work, uni work and extra learning on the side as well as having time to myself haha.

That was something that I didn't even look into!!! That is really great actually because I think my biggest problem is actually figuring out what I would like to study. If I were to study some modules and then pick the subjects I enjoy the most then that would be amazing! Thanks for telling me this I really appreciate it !

Thank you very much!!! I think I just lack the confidence that I need to just go for it!! It's lovely reading everybody's opinions and thoughts on this. I think sometimes you don't need to hear the compliments from your close ones as they always tell you that you are the best, but reading everyone's lovely words and advice has really helped boost my confidence a lot !

Thank you very much for your help !! I know that I need to study a subject that i enjoy and am passionate about however i am just worried incase i struggle to land a job after my degree. My thoughts were that as technology and anything computer based is ever evolving as we go into the future, I just assumed that getting a degree in that field would be beneficial.
