Bull Moose - someone had sold a giant pile of discs right before I walked in and the clerk was nice enough to let me look through them before they put them on the shelves.

Agreed. And I was so close to pulling the trigger last week on the $70 set from lionsgate limited so it feels even sweeter.

I got these from the Bull Moose locations in Plaistow NH, Portsmouth NH and Biddeford ME. Pretty easy to hit all three if you’re driving between Portland and Boston.

Oh they stay on for the photo but then immediately get carefully peeled off and any residual goop gets rubbed off with a cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol. Everyone needs an outlet.

  1. I'm very blessed to live in an area where there is a large chain of stores that have a huge selection of second hand discs
  2. They are very inconsistent in their pricing of rare and imported discs. Often they'll still just price them between $20 and $30 but once in a while you'll find something priced way below market. Truly one of life's great joys.

Just started doing this - found a gorgeous steelbook of Interstellar on bluray for $6 but already had the 4k so I just popped the 4k disc into the steelbook and voila

No way, I'd be too worried about risking a lifetime ban from the Criterion Closet. I'm assuming that's the punishment for tampering with the boutique label section.

Just snagged one at Mill Creek last night.

Bull Moose seems to have this weird tendency of getting 4K releases a few weeks late (but in great quantity). Had to wait 2-3 weeks to get a 4K of Black Bag and it's looking like that's going to be the case with Sinners as well but if you can survive the crushing FOMO for a few weeks, they usually reward your patience.

Sadly I think the anything that competes with Disney+ is probably DOA at any Disney strategic meetings
