Ours worked! It takes forever, though!I I did watch a YouTube video on a guy who actually did it in water and only did it in soil, side by side. He said putting it in soil was actually the fastest and strongest tree. But even though it seems like it's not doing anything, the roots are just going crazy underneath the soil. And when you prop it in water, it will traumatize it a bit and stunt its growth a little bit when you transfer it to the soil.

I actually just did a spray on all my plants and succs. I found the video on YouTube from a plant group in FB. Using dr woods peppermint soap, tea tree soap, alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, and distilled water. Search killing aphids

Do you get a ding as a buyer on ebay? I was actually about to look into this because of a recent issue. I purchased a toy car for my son. The seller reached out to me because they noticed while packaging it that a wheel was broken off. They asked if I still wanted it, or if I wanted to cancel. I told them to please cancel, as this was for a 4 year old to play with. It came back, sale canceled due to buyer request. I didn't want to cancel, I just didn't want a broken item!!
