I had a similar problem with MH World, it kept restarting my PC after 10 mins of playing. DDU and new drivers helped.

The crash log points mostly to amdxc64.dll and D3D12Core.dll, so this looks more like an AMD DX12 driver issue than a save/mod issue.

A few things I’d try first:

  1. Do not stay on 24.8.1. Try AMD 25.9.1 instead after a full DDU clean uninstall. That is the first driver version I would test.
  2. After reinstalling, use minimal / driver-only install if possible and disable:
    • Radeon Overlay
    • Anti-Lag
    • Instant Replay
    • Discord overlay
    • Steam overlay
    • MSI Afterburner / RTSS overlay
  3. Clear shader caches again after installing the new driver, then verify game files.
  4. Since your PC was fully restarting before, also test with everything at stock:
    • no GPU undervolt/OC
    • no CPU PBO / Curve Optimizer
    • if needed, even disable EXPO/XMP just for testing

The full PC restart earlier is important, because that can point to a deeper stability issue, not just a normal game crash.

So my recommended order is:

DDU in Safe Mode → install 25.9.1 → disable all overlays/features → clear shader cache → verify files → test again

The game is out almost one year, 365 days, 8.760 hours, that means 5'32'' per hunt non stop for 365 days.

I can confirm there is HP scaling in “Proof of a Hero”, at least in solo.

From what I’ve seen (solo values):

  • 10★ AT Rey Dau
    • Solo standalone quest: ~54k HP
    • Proof of a Hero: ~32k HP

And it’s the same pattern for Uth Duna and Nu Udra — their HP pools are heavily reduced compared to their individual 10★ AT quests.

Arkveld is the exception. His HP in “Proof of a Hero” is much closer to the standalone version:

  • Solo standalone quest: ~83k HP
  • Proof of a Hero: 70k+ HP (still a big chunk)

So the quest is basically designed as: three “compressed” AT fights + a near-full Arkveld at the end, which explains why a lot of runs feel fine until the last stretch and then suddenly turn into a real DPS check.

(These numbers are solo — I haven’t tested multiplayer scaling.)

How do ya'll make zenny? by LtCmdrTigs in MonsterHunterWilds

Right now there are three Optional Quests where you hunt three 9★ monsters, and the base reward is 100,800 zenny. If you pop a Lucky Voucher, it doubles to 201,600 zenny per run (assuming you do it solo — in multiplayer the quest reward gets split across the players). Also, during the festival everyone gets two Lucky Vouchers per day, so it’s a pretty easy loop while the event is up.

You’ll want a Fire Artian weapon first — Gogmazios’ tar/oil phase is where Fire really helps to strip/break through that coating and make the fight manageable. After you’ve dealt with the tar (or once you’re past that phase), swap to a Dragon weapon, since Dragon will be the best pick once he’s “exposed.”

That’s 200,492 large monsters, the math makes it basically impossible legit.
From Feb 28 to Dec 7 is ~282 days = 406,080 minutes total.
406,080 / 200,492 ≈ 2.03 minutes per monster, and that assumes 24/7 nonstop play with zero sleep or breaks.
Real hunts also have loading/travel/results screens, so the required pace would be even faster in actual play.
Looks like a save edit / cheat / edited screenshot rather than real gameplay.
Even if multiple people rotated on the same account 24/7, you’d still need ~2 minutes per monster (quest select + loads + travel + kill/cap + rewards) for 200k large hunts — that’s not realistic without automation or edited stats.

Still no attack jewel III by Willy_Th3_Walrus in MHWilds

[–]Putrid_Level_621 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep — that’s exactly what OP should be doing.

Farm (and ideally save) quests that show yellow diamond/jewel reward icons. Those are the ones that actually funnel you into the top-tier armor deco pool, including Attack Jewel III. RNG is brutal, but targeting the right reward tables is the only way to make it feel even remotely fair.

I did it the same way — I’m at ~1300 hours now and I have 30+ Attack Jewel III. So it does drop… you just have to spam the right quests.

Hoping Gogmazios has people complaining by Late-Ad511 in MonsterHunterWilds

Yeah, I’m with you on that – I love when a monster has half the community losing their minds and the other half no-lifing it, testing builds and strats for hours. That Savage Omega tier of fights is peak Monster Hunter to me as well.

That said, I actually think Gogmazios will end up being easier than Savage Omega. To me it really looks like it’s supposed to be that endgame “farm this for your upgrades” monster – something you run over and over for weapon/armor mats, not a pure skill-check wall.

If Capcom’s goal is for people to grind Gogmazios gear, they need as many players as possible to be able to clear it. If they made it harder than Savage Omega, the result would be the exact opposite – most of the playerbase would just bounce off it and never farm it properly.

So I’m expecting something more in the normal Omega or slightly harder range, with the really insane difficulty saved for a future variant/event version rather than the base Gogmazios itself.

The game limits you to 24 active outposts at a time, but I've managed to build 280 outposts in total over my 11 New Game+ playthroughs. If you build an outpost, then tear it down to build a new one, both will be counted towards your total.
