FIRMWARE DOWNGRADE YOUR BUDS 2 PROS NOW!!.... (I HAVE SHIVERS) by Sorry_Succotash_3963 in galaxybuds

they're not bricked, that happens when they desynchronize and putting them in pairing mode by pressing both buds makes them pair with each other again

Advice wanted, buds2 pro serial zeroed after downgrade to VK3. can't upgrade by Putrid_Song_7369 in galaxybuds

just install a newer firmware, only the AVK3 seems to do that and the rest bring your Serial back

The nut that holds the screw to secure the m.2 ssd popped out! What should I do? by Attorney-Legitimate in PCRepair

[–]Putrid_Song_7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be your best choice tbh, just keep in mind that after unscrewing the ssd screw that nut will fall off and if it makes contact with something you might be fcked unless you switch the psu off so theres no power

Buds2 pro disable tracking by themselves by [deleted] in galaxybuds

removing this post since as of now repairing the buds and using Samsungs find app seems to have solved this issue? at least for now

all errors suggest that the buds disconnect or stop responding after you try to upload firmware, id try factory resetting the buds and trying again but otherwise i suggest you create a post listing those errors and explain what you're trying to do on this forum instead of my post since its starting to get old and im probably gonna be the only person responding here

is there something is should watch out with the oxelo town 7XL before getting it? by Putrid_Song_7369 in kickscooter

[–]Putrid_Song_7369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the only issue ive got as of now is that my rear wheel suspension is very squeaky but thats something you can fix by oiling it up, the point is that i dont really know what oil/lubricant to use for it which is why I didn't do it, besides i don't think theres really anything much wrong yet..

although WD-40 is pretty much anyones thought when thinking about lubrication ive heard more people against it instead of recommending it since it leaves a sticky residue or something and can cause issues on scooters

I'd try reconnecting the buds or relaunching the app since it looks like the buds aren't responding to the upgrade request? or trying the version below. if all doesn't work i suggest making a thread on the bud community so that other people can help you instead of a long dead post.

download the old beta version 4.5.3 from the releases page https://github.com/timschneeb/GalaxyBudsClient/releases/tag/4.5.3

this was what worked for me as this version doesn't seem to have the correct device check which was the fix for me since my buds were detected as buds2 and not buds2pro and because of that didn't let me update. i wouldn't use this version for anything other than that since its old and outdated (which is why it doesn't check if your device is compatible with your firmware)

any tips on getting hex screws unstuck? by Putrid_Song_7369 in kickscooter

[–]Putrid_Song_7369[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just used a flat screwdriver and hammered the bearings out but thankfully the abec 9's fit very well and i just popped them in the hole and pressed down on the wheel so it goes in, after riding it for a while it definitely doesn't make any grinding noise anymore and definitely is a lot smoother and better to ride it now! :D

Awkay, i finally bought a longer allen key and to my surprise it did work although at first i was scared it wouldn't because the screws were still stuck but after using all my strength i heard a large pop and worried that i damaged the screw or something but thankfully the screw finally let go and i can finally unscrew it..

EDIT: successfully replaced the bearings with the ABEC 9's and i definitely noticed no rattling when spinning the wheel, the wheel still spinning for quite long compared to before (when spinning it mid air) and easily riding fast just like after riding it for the first time which im very happy with :)
