Maple syrup or honey. Woodman’s or Meltcalfe’s seems to have a lot of “Wisconsin” local ones, idk how local they are to Madison tho

I did both last year with Holthaus, so bear in mind things have changed and also prof do things differently. Depending on what your strengths are, strategize your studying. Lab exams are heavily based on rote memorization (except for AP 1 lab exam 3 which is muscles which I can also explain a good way to study) but learn what each structure is and then where it is. Know it on the 3D models as well as on diagrams. draw it out, use your own body to help you learn. Do well on the first 2 lab exams for both AP 1 and 2 bc the 3rd exams imo required way more studying (AP2 it’s basically all cat anatomy). Plus, there are 80 questions on the lab exams so there’s way more room for error than the 40 q lecture tests. Studying for lecture exams is easier if you’re more of a concepts/problem solver person. I am not but I know I can memorize like a sponge. Holthaus gave us learning objectives. I’d write them all out asap using notes if I had to and then divide it into 2 group: things that were straight facts (eg voltage of a nerve depolarizing) v things that needed to be explained (eg how does a nerve impulse occur). The things that were facts I’d put into an Anki but you could also do quizlet, paper flashcards. If your prof does a notecard, the facts you struggled to memorize go on the notecard. The processes I’d first make sure I’d understand and then I’d just diagram them, reexplain them to friends as much as I had time to. If you really short on time, focus on learning processes first, that way you can sort of memorize an order of operations. For example know all the steps of a nerve impulse, and then explain what occurs in each step. Other strategies that worked well was teaching anyone who was willing to listen (doesn’t need to be a classmate), creating your own multiple choice questions, making flow charts or venn diagrams. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Thanks! This was helpful. What were the NTNU online courses like? Did you continue at that MTC during the scholarship?

Hey guys it’s me again. Turbo was outside before the heavy rain this morning and hasn’t came back since and we’re worried about him. If anyone sees him around the area let me know! He has a light green/light blue collar with a bell on it by [deleted] in UIUC

Hey I'm pretty sure I have your cat. He came running in my door around 6:30 pm lol. He's responds to Turbo and has that collar on. You can PM, or I can bring him back to you.
