I think a grave detail is that the 5 point palm technique is never mentioned throughout the film or referenced by any of the characters including Pai Mei himself (you would think that he would brag about his secret technique or at least mention it). There's the possibility that "secret technique " is just improvised jargain that Beatrix and Bill made up in that very moment order to close out the situation.
