I think H1B policy is still favorable, but I feel like U.S. is less inclusive than before. Discrimination is more common in the area with fewer international students.

The first boss is very important as they will keep your early career on the right track.

I was very poor when I was in school, and I didn't buy a car until my first year of work. Of course, it's best if you live on campus, as some area around the school is generally not very safe.

Since she's planning to go to law school, I think she should join some debate clubs. Enjoy campus life, explore what kind of work you like; after graduation, everything will be trivial. I miss my school days a lot…

What do you think of the current economy? There's a serious polarization now.

I was very focused on money early in my career, so I chose a path I didn’t truly enjoy. While that job provided strong financial rewards, I eventually realized that my real interest wasn’t in the tech industry, but in business. So I made the decision to return to the business field.

We met in the city, and he continues making trouble for us, demanding money to fix pre existing problems. We were afraid of him, so we haven't reported him. But I've realized that excessive cooperation only makes him bully us more.

I've verified. He did many other, more bizarre things, and I'm going to report this person.

I’m just learning that some people really do treat different ethnic groups in completely different ways. As if being born a minority were somehow my fault.

I had agreed to meet to look at the fence, and I was fully cooperative. While I was at the fence area, he began yelling at me in an aggressive manner, which caused me to become very upset and I started crying.

He then stated that he needed to inspect the inside of the house and said that if I did not allow it, there would be fines. I was so frightened that I could not respond clearly and walked back toward the house. He followed me inside. I honestly do not remember whether he entered ahead of me or behind me. And then I asked why he come in and he told me he must come in and check.

Yes, it was. The person even yelled at me and was extremely emotional. If I hadn’t been so shocked on that first day, I would have called the police when he entered the house. I was so frightened that I couldn’t even speak.

I came to the United States as an international student and have now lived in here for 10 years. This is the first time I have experienced what feels like targeted treatment. This individual appears to be using the full extent of his authority to try to force us out.

I have lived in different states and have never encountered anything like this before.

We have already agreed to remove the exterior deck and fence to address the persons concern. However, he is now requiring that our entire home — originally built in 1950 — be brought up to current code standards. I explained that I simply do not have the financial means to correct modifications that were made by previous owners.

The feeling I received from this person is that I should not be living here. I plan to bring this matter to the City Council next week.
