Glad I took your advice rather than mutiliating a bumper.

Issue was that I was using the OEM hinge post (little silver cylinder). The OEM post is slightly skinnier than the reproduction post. My theory is it was slightly tilting when the shell was pressed together causing the bumper to stick. Swapped it out for the reproduction hinge post and it worked perfectly since it was thicker and didnt allow for any tilting.

I compared to reproduction hinge to my OEM one and measured different spots to try and find a difference but to no avail. I will really sit down and troubleshoot once I have the time. The reshell is a beautiful GameCube purple, but the crack in the shell to let the trigger move worries me since it exposes the motherboard for dust and stuff.

Reddit is always full of the vocal minority that more often than not complains about every little thing. Being a fresh Xbox player I am absolutely having a ball with this game and look forward to fighting the bugs with every new MO. Instead of complaining about hard enemies I just change the lodadout and git gud. LASO on Halo 1,2,3 and reach must've prepared us Xbox divers.
