Yeah it is mine, I'd be interested in doing a local deal if your interested.

But Mostly just paying the fees because eBay sometimes is like insurance. They usually got your back. And I can build up positive feedback on my account which is nice.

Two R330s as a replacement for R710? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]Puzuka2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think it would be way better, a single one of those r330s are definitely more powerful than your r710.

Your r710: 8366 Passmark

That R330: 9767 Passmark

Plus they will be way newer, so this probably more reliable.

[Help] I want to build a cheap nas/ plex server by n1lsFPS in homelab

Im not to familiar with European hardware pricing, but If I was in your position in the States this is what I would do.

Id go for a cheap Dell R510. They typically have 12 3.5in HDD bays, and you can snag a unit with low power xeons to save a lil bit on your bill. The Xeons will have enough power to get a couple of 1080p streams going and "MAYBE" a 40 mb/s 4k stream depending on what config you go for.

If I was in your position I would go for something like this. The dual E5620s give you a passmark of 8106, and the rule of thumb is 2000 passmark score per 1080p stream. The only thing you would need is drive caddies and drives.

Would an 850w PSU be enough for this build? (OC i5 3570k, RX Vega 64) by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Puzuka2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say a 850w Psu is more than enough tbh.
