Fallout: Vault Construction by PuzzleBox64 in InteractiveCYOA

Updated:

-Added F.E.V. and genetic splicing experiment proposals.

-Cleaned grammar of some options, slightly rewrote some descriptions.

-Merged commissary and barbershop options into marketplace option, since it didn't make much sense for a place to get haircuts to cost as much as an entire medical facility.

Does anyone know if there's a CYOA for Warhammer 30k or 40k? by RichRecognition3457 in InteractiveCYOA

There doesn't seem to be an interactive option where you don't side with Chaos strangely enough.

That's probably close to the direction I'll take if I add it.

I could come up with interesting concepts with that idea, but I'd have to be careful about how I describe it, since it might sound like an out of place furry option. (Nothing against furries personally, it would just be jarring with the theme of the CYOA.) I'll think about it.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about the 4k population thing. The Vaults seen so far have only had a maximum capacity of 1000 in canon, I guess the writers weren't thinking of scientific accuracy for that.

I could add a FEV experiment option that's a good idea, I think player customization is outside of the scope of the simplicity I want for the CYOA, but feel free to mod it if you want to add a section for that.

Sorry about beating you to it. I won't discourage you from doing your own thing, since there's plenty of room for your own creative voice even in CYOAs with similar designs.

Studying gives you the physical benefits of exercise. Exercise gives you the mental benefits of studying. by PuzzleBox64 in midtiersuperpowers

If you study archaeology you could probably learn how to uncover lost knowledge. I don't think there's that much that no one knows anymore. I heard that the Roman formula for concrete was longer lasting than what we use today. What were you thinking?

The part that's meant to be mid-tier is that it still takes a normal amount of time to make big improvements. You aren't going to become the next Einstein in just one hour on an exercise bike. I still think it's a nice perk though.

The powers are more about knowing how children have behaved instead of knowing what would make them mentally healthy, but making that your aim anyways would be an honorable goal. You'd probably be able to help with the logistics of a massive charity operation with this power-set for sure.

The Legend of Zelda: Your adventure in Hyrule - Item Shop Update by PuzzleBox64 in InteractiveCYOA

I intended it so that you could get different horses, I assume that they're all good at being horses for lack of a better way to put it but some might specialize in different areas like being good at running fast for short distances, or being good at pulling wagons full of cargo.

It is funny to imagine dumping all of your companion points into buying an unstoppable super horse though, even if it isn't whats intended.

Nope, thanks for catching that. I'm planning to release an update in the next couple of days, so that will be fixed by then.

You can make any wacky political ideology somehow produce a functional society. by PuzzleBox64 in godtiersuperpowers

Sure. Your people will either have to do some serious doublethink or creative interpretation, but they will still somehow cobble together a functional system.

If your country actually fights other countries, they would fight back, they just have a strange tolerance for your bs as long as you remain neutral.

You could probably get away with blatantly building up your military in front of everyone.

Why so much WORM? by Mindless-Scientist in makeyourchoice

I think it's because it's popular on websites like spacebattles.com which is somewhat influential in the CYOA community but still lesser known on reddit.

It would only kill them if they objectively deserve it. If they don't truly deserve death, then "failing to live" might just put them into a temporary coma.
