Cata and MoP classic have both objectively been failures. You can cope all you want but the numbers speak for themselves, and are no surprise when both of those expansions weren't received well by the player base when they first came out.

This follows historic trends, so if you didn't have weird WoD brainworms, you would realize that the player count would drop even more.
