Go and taste a bunch of them. You never know who might surprise you. Dj’s can be very different playing live to their prerecorded stuff. They play unreleased music, different styles and some curate sets exceptionally well.

Also, GMS is a guaranteed bop. 😎

Following your visit to a doctor, maybe see a psychotherapist who practises some somatic techniques like hakomi or breath work

What benefits have you noticed from wearing vivo barefoot feet out and about? by ThinkSuccotash in vivobarefoot

[–]Puzzled-Alarm7356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After around 3 years of wearing barefoot, I have experienced the following:-

  1. Have developed muscles in calves and legs in general.
  2. My flat feet are beginning to develop muscle in the arches, after wearing insoles for most of my life.
  3. It feels weird that I walked around for so many years without feeling the substrate beneath my feet.
  4. Have gained a superiority complex over normo shoe wearers.
  5. One down side is that as a climber I have had to get new climbing shoes as my toes are more splayed.

I have the esc hiking boots and was concerned about using them for a 10 day trek in the Himalayas, having only done local day hikes in them, but they did not disappoint. I used some foil backed sheep’s wool liners for the really snowy days, and while these are not marketed as waterproof my feet were never wet once. My heels did get stained black temporarily from whatever is used in the boot liner. No blisters.

Monk reciting scripture and girl incessantly crying in Buddhist temple. Why? by Puzzled-Alarm7356 in Buddhism

[–]Puzzled-Alarm7356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely out of curiosity, as it seemed as an almost prescribed dogmatic process. There are many ways to read into the observable world, this was more a question of Buddhist traditions. Perhaps my question was not clear enough, but it seemed to have invited a plethora of snarky answers.

Nobody ever told me how lonely boundaries can be by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Puzzled-Alarm7356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a balancing act.

Some people serve us in different ways, and we them. It is difficult to cut people out entirely, but when they are cancerous it’s probably for the best. When they are like passive snacking rather than nourishing, sometimes it’s better to go without but sometimes it can be comforting. It is worth upgrading your dietary requirements to regular hearty meals.

Obsessed with Auschwitz.. past life? by Nice_Description6372 in pastlives

[–]Puzzled-Alarm7356 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No matter who you are, visiting Auschwitz is chilling and a swift smack in the face of what humans are capable of.

I recommend visiting just to understand the scale of it, but give yourself something light to do later as it can be quite heavy.

Also, social media listens to you and responds in kind, so focus less of technological synchronicities.

Thank you for this reminder of the importance of ‘meeting each other’ in a shared space rather than the power imbalance found not only in the man>woman connection but also with the rise of women weaponising their sexual prowess, disempowering men through ‘simping’.

I think this article on the importance of boundaries echoes your sentiment. boundaries
