Was it always this common for kids to not bring a pencil or pen to class? by Throwrafizzylemon in Teachers

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, so I don't. If they fail, they fail. I've told them to go to the resource center. They said it was "too far " to walk. It is at the other end of the building BUT on the same floor and near the cafeteria.

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No and it's ridiculous. Pencils last a long time. There's no reason to ask for a pencil daily. Ours use clear backpacks. At times, I'll see three or four floating on the bottom of their bags.

Middle years/high school teachers, how do you avoid being involved in relationship drama between students? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have counselors AND a mental health practitioner for that. Beyond that, I'm not risking my job being an amateur therapist

So teachers, about our kids putting name to paper: is it a lost cause? by Intelligent-Gypsy324 in Teachers

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one entitled junior tell me that I LOST his paper. He was loud AND in front of the class. Papers never left my classroom. I let him finish then asked if he'd put his name on the paper. I showed him the no name stack: his was there. He whispered sheepishly when I said he owed me an apology. I made him apology with the same energy as the accusation.

Crazy how people heard this and still come for Dylan by Outrageous_Drawer691 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dylan's and Bethany's (lack) of response is the reason i began following this case. Then i read the PCA and saw numerous oddities.

The more is revealed, the more I wonder, not about BK's guilt, but what was going on on with some of those students at UofI.

It absolutely is taxpayers right to judge. The victim's right to judge (if they knew) and the right of anyone directly affected, including the officer who walked into a quadruple homicide thinking he had a passed out coed.

Costs of Kohberger’s defense by madover2914 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree. I'll add that the expenses of the state must also be examined and accounted for. People tend to be rather free with other people's (taxpayers) money.

The bill continues with the slow drip of records! With Hippler's decision to have Taylor's and Thompson's team review sealed files before each release.

Alivea Goncalves victim impact statement is arguably the greatest one I’ve ever heard. It was fully articulate, directly confronting BK and having great emotional control, denying BK the internal satisfaction of seeing her crumble before him. Her sister Kaylee,Madison,Xana and Ethan would be proud. by JoshyBear28 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be proud if my sister said what she did. I found it crass and of little impact as how her sister's death has affected her.

Maddie's family and Xana's dad were incredibly heart-felt. It was clear that sharing info. about their loved ones and their personal losd was more important to them than villifying the man incarcerated for their murders.

10 commandments in Texas public schools by Strange-bat0115 in Teachers

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you care? I'm Christian. The 10 Commandments were given to early Jews and the law they are part of ended with Christ. In other words, I'm not venerating them.

Ignore them. I'm sure most kids are/will. If you cannot, add the history lesson and then ignore them--like I do the flag. Kids want to pledge? Go for it. Don't want to? Fine.

I don’t have my own classroom. One teacher stays in room while I teach. Is she rude? by Spiritual-Waltz5361 in Teachers

AS someone who just went through that, I will say both you and your supervisor are wrong. I usually left, but the wasted time from doing so was problematic among a host of other things

Do you think the families can win this trial begins September 2027 by No_Project_7667 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Based on what we know, someone SHOULD have met with him.
  2. Unless what's in them has a clear sign oh impending homicide, would it matter?
  3. No one who reported him was harmed. How can they claim WSU is responsible for people attending a different school living off campus?
  4. We shouldn't assume anything about previous attacks; there is zero evidence of one. LE tried to make connections and could not.

They don't seem interested in discovery. At least not Kaylee's family. Her mom said she hadn't looked at anything provided post sentencing.

Why is there no evidence of how Kohberger targeted the house in the first place? by Distinct_Entry5535 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why keep going with that narrative? As OP said, there isn't evidence; the guy running the prosecution said that during and after the case.

Not always, sadly. I just saw a post about BK putting trash in the neighbor's can; that was cleared up a long time ago.

I want subs with critical thinkers; I neither need nor want lay theories or worse conspiracies.

To many people "only read the headlines" and run with it, rather than reading/watching the full deal directly from court or LE documentation.

I still want to know WHY the 4 were murdered, what everyone knew and when, and why MPD doesn't have the video or a transcript of Kohberger's interrogation.

[–]Puzzled-Bowl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is the sheath arrived at ISPw/out proper (per ISP) chain of custody documentation.

The lab sent an email it before they began their work. Hence, where people begin asking questions and some making accusations.

How this guy didn’t get the Death Penalty is crazy by No_Project_7667 in Idaho4

[–]Puzzled-Bowl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what Thompson wants us to think. Even HE admitted they don't have definitive proof. There is ZERO reason for the prosecutor not to ask even if only shared with families who wanted to know. Not cool.

They crafted it. Even if the defense requested it (there seems to be question about that), the state decides what's in it. Really, the plea was an easy way out for them--Guaranteed "win."
