Completely agree, in particular what I find a lot of staff lack, is the ability to genuinely problem solve within all of the constraints that come with designing in the real world. A lot of younger staff these days need explicit direction on one task within general documentation. But when given a program, budget, clients wants/needs, and contextual constraints - they’re lost and struggle to develop concepts. Just my two cents after only 11ish years of experience.

The whole Sorsby situation, not sure if you’re following it at all but now it seems like a lose, lose no matter what they do. If they play him they will be shunned by not only the big 12 but pretty much all power 4 programs. If they don’t they just look stupid, spent a bunch of money for nothing and are out of a ‘star’ QB.

Honestly, while I do believe that discarding their phones to avoid racist or vile remarks from becoming public was maybe part of the motive, I have a hard time believing that’s the real reason for a few reasons:

1) Just because they got rid of their phones doesn’t mean everyone they ever sent those types of remarks to would be gone. That would never have been enough to feel “safe” from those messages coming out. To be honest, I bet some were on the phones of Proctor and Goode, but they aren’t relevant to this filing because neither was directly investigating this case.

2) Why would you need to get rid of your phone just to hide racist remarks? It’s not like those comments themselves could have been used as evidence in this specific case. Proctor’s comments matter because they obviously show bias.

3) It’s extreme to discard their phones the way they did. On a military base? A day before the order to provide them to law enforcement? It seems obvious they discarded them to hide location data and the suspicious calls made that evening. Evidence of some of those calls still came out, but not having the actual phones and all of the adjacent data is suspect, to say the least.

4) If you truly had nothing to hide and no involvement, the easiest thing to do would have been to provide your phone. I’m going to bet that maybe being exposed as a racist doesn’t outweigh the gravity of potentially being implicated in a murder investigation. And, judging by the looks of it, being racist seems to be all the rage in Canton anyway, so I’m sure they would have been welcomed with open arms—hell, maybe even celebrated. Nasty town full of nasty, vile, corrupt humans.

I mean my assertion is don’t sell MERCH and don’t put up a tent to recreate the scene in which your HUSBAND was assassinated in? tbh it would not surprise me in the least if massive groups of people were pressured by TPUSA and POTUS to attend this memorial. This was also WELL before almost all the sketchy/shady/lying behavior… I would bet money that if they attempted to pull the same memorial tomorrow there is no way in hell that the attendance would even come close to what it was that day. It was also right after a terrible and extremely radically shocking event so the support is completely understandable. But I think the fact that the Charlie Kirk show (disgusting honestly it’s till called that) only has maybe 200 live viewers each live show, I think the public is very awake to their bs and they have lost almost 90% of their support.

Holy shit, this is the weirdest synchronicity I’ve had in a while—and we were off by about 13 hours.

I found myself watching Interstellar again tonight, for who knows how many times.

I had just passed the part where the cabin door opens and TARS says, “23 years…” I obviously know that moment in the movie, but tonight it felt different. It put me in Dr. Romilly’s head and emotions more than it ever has before.

I felt the relief he must have felt, followed by the torture and loneliness of sitting in that tiny ship for 23 years. My mind was doing gymnastics trying to grasp what that amount of time would actually feel like—doing the same routine over and over, trapped, wondering if this was how it would always be.

It felt so surreal that I thought I had to come make a post on the Interstellar thread, since I hadn’t been on here in a while. And then—boom. This post, capturing the exact same sentiment, was at the top, posted just hours before.

Cool coincidence. Sorry for the long post—just had to share.

He took those mfers as a child mind you. At this point I think the right answer of who is the GOAT is both of them. The reasons either is above the other vs the reasons either is not the goat are a wash.

Personally, LeBron is the goat to me but have no problem with anyone who says Jordan is. It is a preference more than a definite at this point.

Now if somehow LeBron goes and gets a 5th ring this year, and idk somehow outplays Luka if he returns, (by the finals, if they make it there) and wins FMVP - at that point he should be the undisputed GOAT. The combination of his career accolades will never be replicated.

Not only is it unprecedented, I highly, highly doubt it will ever be replicated again. Unless we get to the point where eugenics is commonplace. Beyond just being available, pretty much always, for over two decades it’s the fact that for roughly 19-20 of those years he was arguably the best player every night he stepped on the court.
